To existing X50 owners, may I ask on the following;

1. How much is the highest discount offered from the current official price for the X50? Can share here please? Specifically the Executive model.
2. Wait is the waiting period like now? I heard that it's about 6 months?
3. Any issues with the car worth mentioning, either positive or negative? Things such as drivability, acceleration, pedal response, or quality issues such as rattling and creaking sound inside the cabin when car is going over potholes or bad uneven road surface, noise from suspension, gaps between panels inside the interior etc. or anything else.

This thread is over 200 pages, too many to scroll and check on the reviews of the car. Just browsed through few pages and mostly are talking about the HU or app only. Anyway, it's OK. I guess there are videos on Youtube on this X50 and one of the complaints is on the wind noise at certain speed. Not too sure if they have found a solution. Havent' read about any complaints on rattling noise inside the cabin and suspension yet.

Pros and Cons depends how much you know about the car and its donor.

To me it doesn't meet my requirement because I know they took out quite a few thing from the Original Binyue like its 360 recording function, ambient light & paddle shifter.

But realistically compared with what we have in the market currently, try sit in similar price range SUV, the rest feels like a downgrade, even the reviewer said this with their first impression comparing with X1, so still the best choice we can have.

Biggest cons is of course it is a China Car that some people do not trust and combo with a Proton logo that its rakyat hate. That's why you'll see a lot complaints on X50 feature which people do not complaint about when it is on other car. Like example 3 Cyllinder & Turbo charged on other car all ok je no complaints, but when it's on a Proton X50 bash like the engine can give you free OSIM massage, while in reality the 3 Cyllinder on the X50 is much more refined compared to the rest of them, oh and suddenly CVT become more superior pula compared to our DCT. Now I'm waiting to see comment on the new reduced boot space of the new HRV, when X50 launched people bash its 330L boot space like no tomorrow.

Guys, together with LaiN87 we are trying to install app on X50 Infotainment system because I am poorfag/kiamsiap why not.   

PoC has been done, so far we are able to run YouTube, Netflix, Waze and Spotify on the head unit.

We are still figuring out the easiest way for u all to do yourself.

Based on the logic of the FOTA, as long it did not change /system partition (aka system file not changed). There are no reason for it to kacau OTA.
Frankly speaking, if tha OTA newer version allows APK sideload, I even happier.

1 is correct

2 is not true, if you already have explorer installed then scripts not needed anymore.

Scripts mostly  needed for 1st time to get explorer or like me install everything in a batch.

Try search within apkmirror it will tell you the minimum for which android version and yes 4.2.6.1.1 will work as well.
It is upto your own choice of file explorer as mentioned in the instructions.

However if you are familiar with android environments best not to do it by yourself.

The ES have 1 malware, Autokit have 9 malware. (Maybe is false positive but just beware)

I tested your musicolet it was not installing in my X50 as well. Try to use a lower version and see.

Try to install as min as possible. I keep mine to only Carplay and Spotify. Install too much will cause the startup to be laggy.
I don't even install Waze.

I bought this one. Wired. The box firmware can update so considered original? Because imitation can't upgrade. Will brick the device.
You can opt for the wireless one. But I feel wired is better and cheaper.

1. You still need to plug in to charge unless using wireless charger.
2. Wired more stable connection?

It's quite weird because the USB is already mounted. Why the music players can't read the USB device.. Those like ES is able to read.

I think I will only stick to Android Auto / Carplay and not using the native HU to run any apps.
Keep that as cool as possible, minimum CPU usage. Last as long as I'm able to have this car service me.

I asked SA on this yesterday. SA told me can install outside. If anything just bring the receipt to SA and will help to settle

May I ask if the rattling sound from the driver's side door panel of your X50 has been resolved and the reason you need to bring it to outside accessories shop rather than Proton's service centre since the vehicle is still under warranty? Good to know the quality of the X50 is better than the Almera. However, from my understanding, Nissan cars especially Teana and Sylphy have good NVH and very quiet very minimal rattling sound. Perhaps Almera is different and lower quality.
