I am looking for budget SATA SSD and noticed physical shops in Lowyat don't carry your brand for products like TeamGroup L5 LITE 3D or GX2.

Are you planning to increase TeamGroup presence in the budget space and if so, when can we expect that?

Hello, not every model is in the market at the moment.

We had the MP33 in for a while but as of now there are shortages here and there due to the pandemic.

Definitely we'll have more coming in for all range.

Hello, sorry we (as in this forum account) is not the right party to place order. smile.gif

Xtreem ARGB - it's in Malaysia but to what I remember it's not that model.

Very low demand for high performance kits here.

Their "PR" just as professional as local reviews. (For kits that are then not even being brought into the market)

Look at tRFC & the command rates.
That is not even worth being called overclocking.

When you go from 3200MHz to 4GHz+ - or even 3266 - Overclock is overclock la.

Can't just bash people like that for what they did la, credits where it's due man. At least Tech Critter did something there.

They allegedly have one of the best binned B-Die kits on the market; ofc u wanna do more than just set 4 values, leave rest on AUTO, test for casual stability and call it "overclocking".
If you approach it like this no point buying these well binned kits in first place.

None of the local reviews even mentions the lack of temperature sensors across all their Xtreem series.
That is something that cstkl1 asked here and didn't even get a reply for. Just like the inconclusive answer on the product availability itself.
Those things matter if you wanna address a certain clientele.

It's great to see they wanna improve their offerings on the Malaysian market which is why I am glad to see them on this board, but if you then only bring in 50% of your products and send out review samples for products that never see shelves in Malaysia, what is the point of it anyways?
You get recognition, ppl then wanna buy it, products codes are not found on any platform, they realize it's not available. What will 95% of these potential customers do?
Right, they get a competitors brand. People like owihk84, cstkl1 or myself just to call some potential names who then go and possibly order these kits overseas are rare.

Teamgroup doesn't have the brand reputation of e.g. ASUS and can afford to do marketing for certain products and not bring in these very products and expect ppl to still cue for the next best thing.
People see a specific (Teamgroup) product they wanna get, they are not affiliated to the brand itself. It's a long way to that point. And they certainly are not there.

To each their own, I've come across so many like you who have a certain expectation on everything.

You can't, everyone does their own. If everyone must do it like you then only OK then you might as well write a guideline.

And not mentioning it is such an important issue? Perhaps they don't know, even I don't check temperature sensors on DIMM.

Man, you're totally clueless on how the industry works.

1. You can't bring EVERY single thing into the market, even if you intend to many of it is up to the distributor to decide. You can look around, try getting some G.Skill memory and see - the high MHz low latency type. Nope, no jalan because distributor won't take.

I can tell you that, I have access to many distributors and almost EVERY brand you don't see full list of products. In many cases it's not feasible, consumers like you often do not see this challenge.

2. Regarding review samples that never see shelves in Malaysia - You have to understand, our (media) relationship with brand goes beyond "what's available" in Malaysia. You can check my reviews, so many items not found in Malaysia but hey they have it and just want coverage.

That's the arrangement between brand and media, people can't find? It's brand problem la but brand want to send stuff it's up to them, in many cases it's how they maintain their friendship with publications.

Of course, that's why they're here. At least it's a start, but you coming in this thread to bash other people and acting all high and mighty just because you think you know overclocking isn't helping.

Well, when it comes to OC I'd want to know if I run into errors because my temps are over a threshold or because my timings are wrong.
Do you think it surprises me you don't check them?

Alright, clueless then.
To my understanding if your brand is small and you want to penetrate a market you should at least make sure to promote something you are selling.
I don't expect them to bring in 100%, but at least bring in what you send out to get reviewed.
Building brand reputation to a point ppl buy your product because it's from your brand and not because of product specifics is much costlier than promoting a specific product, selling it and building customer relationships doing so.

You have a preference. You have a need.

Others don't doesn't mean they're bad or inferior to you. Need to get off your high horse there.

It's not your understanding, it's your assumption.

You don't even understand how things work, brands often have limited say on what to be brought in.

Distributors decide what to bring in, and no they don't check what was sent out for reviews and such.

If you don't know how things work, better not say so much.

And here I was thinking reviews should cover as many things as possible to cover requirements of many viewers and readers.
But alright, others like to spend a great deal of their reviews reading from the spec sheet. innocent.gif

But that's not even the point. I just gave you an example why one would want a temp sensor, and why there's ppl like cstkl1 asking for it.

It's both, my personal understanding, and an assumption. Technically a hypothesis I can gladly discuss with you.

But seeing how personal you tend to get after seeing a fellow reviewer being criticized for doing a inadequate job in an overclocking section of a review,...
I'm afraid that'd be wasted time.

OK, well anyway no worries.

I'll get back to you on Monday (if possible) on the status on the 4000MHz model.

Other than that we have 2 models for the 4000MHz variants, also need to check which one they're bringing in.

> CL18-20-20-44

Hopefully it's the 20-20-44 model that you asked about. Keep your fingers crossed!

Have a nice weekend. notworthy.gif

In addition to the effective cooling effect which can keep the system stable, its excellent performance is also reliable.

This year, it not only won the COMPUTEX d&i award, but it was also praised by everyone during its first appearance at the COMPUTEX 2019.

Hello,

512GB - SMI
1TB - Phison

As for the IC, it's either Sandisk or Micron as in it's not fixed.

T-FORCE CAPTAIN RGB Control Box is an exclusive gaming RGB environment controller developed by TEAMGROUP according to the needs of gamers and PC DIY enthusiasts worldwide.

T-FORCE CAPTAIN RGB Control Box has exclusive utility model patent and great surface design texture. The lighting effect switch button and the T-FORCE LOGO are combined with each other. The thoughtful magnetic feature makes it able to be attached on the computer case. It is an extended peripheral product which specially created for gamers’ using environments.

In addition to supporting 4 5V ARGB output connectors and 1 12 V RGB output connector, it can also detect the source of the lighting control automatically to extend the synchronization signal connected to the motherboard. When there is no external RGB signal from the motherboard, then the five built-in, colorful, independent lighting effects of T-FORCE CAPTAIN RGB Control Box can be used to control as well. It supports multiple different devices and allows gamers to both ARGB and RGB devices at the same time. This offers gamers a more coordinated RGB lighting control solution and creating more extensible lighting effects for gamer’s custom PC.

Hey thanks!

Those are not involved now.

We have 3 distributors for various products.

People handling this account here are not from the distributor. Independant + TeamGroup TW (HQ la, I'm reporting to them)

Nevertheless, thank you so much for this piece of information.

got a vulcan Z kit 2x16GB 3200mhz cl16. XMP booted up fine but the sub timming trfc is 880.

in aida64 benchmark, the latency is over 80ns. Is that normal? Running on a ryzen system.

is this 80ns alright for a ryzen build? I remember it should be around 70ns from my 2X8 hynixCs adata 3200 cl16 kit. Hopefully some ram sifu can shed some light on this.

interestingly these sticks are using high density micron D9XPF on single rank for 2X16GB.

TRFC 880 seems high. Try changing it to 550 - 650 range?

I like this kit very much though, mine did 3266 CL14.

yeah.. the xmp profile seems to not doing this kit justice.

Finally had some time to tinker because i applied leave(dunno why i become much more busy during MCO and work from home lol) .. manage to do a low volt push with 3600mhz 18 22 22 42 trfc 650 200% stable no errors. I believe can go more but that will keep for some other day because to memtest a 32GB really takes forever sweat.gif

All of our dealer working very close with our distributor, may I know which shop have this problem?
If there's any defect of the products, please send it back to the shop where you purchased, they can help you to claim RMA with our local partner definitely.
(This way is only to prevent if customer somehow didn't buy it locally, cause our partner warrant policy only available locally)

Just tried to figure if you have global warranty or not.
Your answer is fine.

So gotta take 1 way postage into consideration when purchasing your higher binned ram kits outside Malaysia as there seem to be quality issues with quite a few of them. At least with those that are not review samples. biggrin.gif

The normally SSD don't have dram IC due to some cost issue.

The new SSD that we show up there have SLC Caching, which makes its read/write speed faster too!

For the SSD with dram IC, only our T-force RGB gaming SSD have it inside. E.G Delta MAX SSD

Thanks for your feedback.
But may I know which region you from or which retail you didn't find? We can improve ourselves and try harder in those specific shops.
Actually we sell into many store already, even on EC shops can easily find us. (shopee and lazada certainly)

Regarding EU and US market, we definitely have sales team responsible for them. New Egg and Amazon we both got very good review tho.
Tom's hardware, Guru3D, Proclockers, Tech power up, etc, we working very close with many medias and influencers as well.

Welcome to let us know if you have further questions cool2.gif

Sorry for the late reply sir.

About sync to aura software, basically this is MB software issue if our Delta RGB RAM working normally. Our product department already inform this to ASUS headquarter but not sure when they can fix it.
You can contact with them to follow up software issue further.

LED design in order to light on all surface of the gaming ram, and Xtreem ARGB is the only gaming ram that have this kind of lighting effect! thumbsup.gif

TEAMGROUP Releases ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Memory: Boosting Laptop Performance with Next-Generation DDR5

user posted image

TEAMGROUP is leading the DDR5 evolution with its leading-edge R&D capabilities. In addition to the overclocking DDR5 gaming memory market, the company has set its sights on the burgeoning laptop market in this era of increasing remote and mobile work. Today TEAMGROUP has released the ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Standard Memory, which runs at the all-new ultra-high clock speed of 4,800MHz and comes in both single and dual-channel kits. The ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Standard Memory is the perfect choice for laptop users looking for an impressive performance upgrade without hassle.

TEAMGROUP's ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Memory operates at the standard DDR5 memory frequency of 4,800MHz, which is up to 50% higher than DDR4's maximum of 3,200MHz. Furthermore, the standard operating voltage of DDR5 is 1.1V, a reduction from the 1.2V in DDR4 that can substantially reduce power consumption and extend standby times of laptops. These major improvements in performance and power efficiency greatly enhance the convenience of laptop use on the go. DDR5 also has twice the burst length of DDR4, significantly increasing the amount of data that can be accessed in a single burst. Furthermore, DDR5 is equipped with unique Same-Bank Refresh command, allowing simultaneous data processing in multiple banks. Upgrading your laptop to DDR5 memory will significantly boost operating efficiency and storage performance, fully meeting your multitasking needs.

TEAMGROUP offers a full range of specifications for its ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Memory to suit a variety of laptop configurations and user needs, including capacities ranging from 8GB to 32GB in both single and dual-channel kits. The ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Memory will first be available on Amazon and Newegg in North America in mid-April 2022. TEAMGROUP plans to make the ELITE SO-DIMM DDR5 Memory support the Intel NUC platform, Mini-ITX motherboards, and other mini-PC devices in the future, expanding the market for SO-DIMM memory applications with ultra-fast clock speeds, power-saving features, and highly stable performance.

In recent years, consumer storage products have seen rapid developments. This year, the industry will officially be entering the first year of Gen5 SSDs. In response to risen temperatures caused by the high transfer speeds of PCIe Gen 5 SSDs, T-FORCE, the gaming sub-brand of TEAMGROUP, has launched the world's first all-in-one ARGB liquid cooling system to reduce heat generated by both the CPU and SSD, allowing PCIe Gen5 SSDs to maintain optimal temperatures and stable, high-speed operations for sustained periods. With the new cooling solution, consumers can fully experience the efficient storage performance of next-generation SSDs without any compromises.

Beginning in the 2000s, as the consumer market demanded higher read and write speeds for storage devices, solid-state drives (SSDs) began to replace mechanical hard drives (HDDs) in large numbers. SATA SSDs eventually became the go-to choice for storage upgrades. With the demand for high-speed storage driven by big data and the spread of transmission technology, PCIe became the standard interface for high-speed transmission. In the past few years, read speeds of PCIe SSDs have increased from 3,500MB/s in Gen3 to 7,000MB/s in Gen4. PCIe Gen5 SSDs now have over 12,000MB/s read and write speeds. The large leaps in transfer speeds of each successive generation of SSDs have led to increased power wattage, which in turn have resulted in higher operating temperatures. When SSDs experience rising operating temperatures at high transfer speeds, an automatic throttling mechanism is activated to protect components from damage caused by the high temperatures. With power consumption of approximately 12W on a PCIe Gen4 SSD running at 7,000MB/s, the controller temperature can reach over 110℃. When PCIe Gen5 SSDs have speeds of over 12,000MB/s and consume 14W or above, one can expect controller temperatures to rise sharply. Therefore, TEAMGROUP is committed to providing the best thermal solutions for stable, high-speed operation of SSDs over sustained periods.

In order to offer consumers the most suitable cooling solutions, TEAMGROUP has developed a variety of cooling products for different environments and utilized various cooling materials over the years. In the process, it has obtained many patents for its innovations, such as its graphene copper foil heat spreader and aluminum fin heat sink. In anticipation of next-gen PCIe Gen5 SSDs arriving this year, TEAMGROUP has launched the industry's first all-in-one ARGB liquid cooling system, solving the issue of heat generated by the CPU and SSD. To provide the best cooling products for consumers worldwide, TEAMGROUP strives to reach the next peak of performance in SSD storage solutions.

With the rise of high-performance computing (HPC), the demand for industrial product cooling has increased dramatically due to higher power requirements and heat generation in demanding industrial applications and platforms. In response, TEAMGROUP has adopted the VC (Vapor Chamber) liquid cooling technology, commonly for mobile devices, and introduced the industry's first M.2 SSD VC liquid cooling technology. The VC liquid cooling tube was redesigned from the ground up for PCIe M.2 SSD applications based on the high-speed transfer rates and heat generation patterns of high-speed PCIe M.2 SSD. The result is a liquid-cooled PCIe M.2 SSD with outstanding thermal performance that can sustain high-speed operation in harsh and dynamic industrial environments.

TEAMGROUP's N74V-M80 is an industrial grade VC Cooling M.2 SSD that utilizes proprietary liquid cooling technology (Taiwan Utility Model Patent : M626519). Through the specially designed VC liquid cooling tubes, cooling fluid is pumped to the heat zone of PCIe M.2 SSD controller. Heat is then transferred to the aluminum fin heat sink with a convective design via gas-liquid phase transition to enhance thermal performance. The N74V-M80 combines the functions of heat absorption, conduction, and dissipation to better transfer and regulate thermal energy. TEAMGROUP's industrial control T.R.U.S.T. technology ("T" for Temperature) ensures that its PCIe M.2 SSD products maintain excellent transfer performance over a wide temperature range of -40°C (-40°F) to 85°C (185°F). In addition, the TEAMGROUP N74V-M80 uses TLC Flash and supports the PCIe Gen3x4 interface and NVMe1.3 standard, providing write and read speeds of up to 3,400 and 2,500MB/s, respectively, and is suitable for industrial-grade HPC devices with adequate installation space. It can fully meet the high-speed computing needs while keeping it cool and energy-saving.

N74V_M.2_SSD_1000x1000_en

Under temperature performance testing, the N74V-M80 SSD with its VC liquid thermal module was better at maintaining efficient data writing capability than SSDs without heat sinks at an ambient temperature of 85°C due to a delayed slowdown mechanism, reducing data write time by 75%. These features significantly improving data read/write efficiency and stability and extending product life, making it the perfect choice for a reliable and durable industrial-grade SSD upgrade. TEAMGROUP continuously strives for innovation in the development of diverse cooling technologies so that customers can easily overcome any heating issues in harsh operating environments and enjoy superior storage performance. The company will continue to create the most reliable industrial storage solutions in response to the changing landscape and needs of the industrial storage market.
