Hi Maxis/Hotlink, more than a couple of times my prepaid has been deducted even after I applied for the daily 1gb quota, mind you I only turn on the data after 10 mins in receiving the confirmation sms and at midday as well. It has been several times.

I do not have any social media other than Whatsapp
I always set my spotify to offline by the time I'm out of the house.
one or two times is fine but I think its accumulated close to 50 by now

Maybe phone background uses data silently without your knowledge??

Because even u off data, somehow the background apps or system would consuming some levels of data for various reasons 🤔

The 1GB thingy is very funny...
Don't really know which is for which really consume the quota... Needed to test & error... That's why I suspected it's from background usages...

Worse come worse..
Report to MCMC.. see if there's solution...
Also ask for refund...

Hmmm .....

The old plans charges PAYU like 10sen per 10KB ... 1MB already costs RM10 ...

Remember: RMCO 1GB free data have exclusion lists .... youtube and spotify are amongst them ...

Read the hotlink RMCO FAQ again and don't assume the 1gb free data covers everything.

I understand what you are going through. My wife is using the same plan as yours and she had her fair share of PAYU. She is using an Android phone and deep in her settings she has to deactivate data usage and also set to only use GSM. I also told her not to use this MCO free data but to buy data first from home WiFi before she goes out of the house. At home she off everything again before she connects to WiFi. This plan is not suitable for iPhone as there is no such settings. My wife likes the 365 plan, I’ll have a headache when she gets a new iPhone.

Oh I forgot. You only have one option that is to get CS to deactivate your phone GPRS but it will take 3 working days to activate back. Hotlink CS will likely tell you to do that if you stay with 365.

FYI when you get your phone GPRS deactivated basically you turned your phone into a “dumb” phone. So no PAYU problem. At the same time you cannot buy data but you can still use WiFi. To buy data you will have to call CS to activate your GPRS and CS will tell you it can take up to 5 days to get back your GPRS on your phone. For me it is not a acceptable solution when Maxis/Hotlink network has data leakages problem.
