I'm using mouse a lot when working. Few days ago I got pain that runs from right-side of neck to shoulder. Especially, along clavicle bone which you could see between shoulder and neck. When I do regular daily work such as washing and cooking, I don't get much pain. But, I feel severe pain when I use the mouse..I think this pain comes due to mouse use..But no one believe my thought. Has some one had such a pain while using mouse for a long time?

It could be. Just reduce usage and see how.

Probably need to change how you rest or position your arm when using mouse and remember to use less force when clicking button.

Change the mouse you're using. Maybe is the mouse arm syndrome that bothers you.
From there on, judge what's best for you.

Check your sitting posture, seat and desk height. Make sure your arm is 90 degrees and well rested on armrest on chair or the desk. Sit upright and use back support if needed. Lastly change your mouse movement speed to fast so it requires less movement & use mouse pad for smoother movement.

Are you sitting properly while you work? It could be your posture. I face this problem as well and it's because I don't sit properly when I work.

Thanks for advice. I got to doctor and he predicted that keeping the hand hung while working without support to it might be the cause. Actually, I don't keep my arm on the arm of chair while working.

and always use a bigger mouse so that your entire palm can rest nicely on it. Instead of having to squeeze your palm on a small mouse.

And I switch to left hand to use the mouse if my right arm is painful after using mouse for a long day.

Ahh i see, now it makes sense. Without any support for your arm for hours will cause that for sure. Well, glad to know you figured it out now. Try taking a break once in a while, sitting in the chair for hours will cause problems like these.

If you have a couple of dumbbells/anything heavy. The heavier the better, but make sure they are equal weight. Pick them up on both sides. Pinch your shoulder blade. Tuck in your glutes. And do the farmer's walk for a few rounds. No need to do it for a long time. Just a few minutes.

It fixes postures. Long term it's better than quick fixes like applying some medication or going for a massage.
