Joe's suggestion of a different plot arrangement was actually pretty good. Have Abby and Ellie (and Joel) meet earlier. Work through danger together, build a past. Only for Abby to later find out about Joel being the reason her father died. Then *that* happened and we would have gotten more emotional impact when the game switches characters.

Really, the game tried to push us to like Abby. Nothing wrong with that, but they did it the wrong way. Nobody goes in a sequel wanting to see new characters shitting all over the beloved characters of the original.

The people claiming this on Twitter all but exposed themselves with out-of-context, selective clips. It's obvious they never seen the whole video or the satirical parts leading up to it.
