I use combo induction + ceramic cooker.
Best decision ever, no more gas leak, no more shifting heavy gas cylinder, no more calling and waiting for gas delivery. The cabinet space wasted for the huge gas cylinder is now free to put many things. Not only that, save more money than using gas. |

With induction, only the cooking ware is heated, boil water faster, and whole kitchen no longer as hot compare to gas cooking. |

QUOTE(iGamer @ Jul 7 2020, 12:43 PM) I didn’t notice any significant change in my power bill after ditching gas. yes efficiency wise, induction is better. Anyway, when you cook with gas the whole kitchen is hot, the heat radiate from the flame to all surrounding including the person cooking. With induction, only the cooking ware is heated, boil water faster, and whole kitchen no longer as hot compare to gas cooking. how i test: gas cook water, hold your arm across the pot. if you can detect heat means its wastage of gas. reduce fire until cannot detect the heat. this is the heat absorbed by the pot and water for induction, almost 100% of the electricity is turned into heat, and only ngam ngam enough to absorb by the pot and water. so ya.. more efficient. so your observation is correct. caveat is it must be steel pot lah. alu cannot. those ceramic one is more wasteful. heat lost. how long can your gas tank last before change to electric? |
