Only to those who jet wash their bikes and love to spray near there... normal flowing water is ok... I wash my bike often enuff when I need to.

You need the tools if you are to remove and service the bearings... I myself can only remove the crankset but not the BB due to the lack of tools.

And yes, important to have fun either way  :thumbsup:

They tyre i was changing is those non-foldable ones and it was very stiff. I tried to slide it in using my thumb and fingers (just like youtube) till i bruised all my fingers. Then I tried using the tyre lever (cheapo ones) and a spanner and managed to get 1 tyre in. Managed to get the second tyre in the nxt day using all sorts of tools I can think of, not before tearing the tube along the way. 

Eventually, went to a shop to change the tube. Watched the guy taking out and putting the tyre back on with not much difficulty made me laugh at myself.  First time experience. Hope to do better the nxt time.

Okey here it is. Acquire it several years ago, with the intention just go nearby and tapao food. Then parked behind the house for years. Now in progress of restoring and upgrading it.



Closer look at the gear set.

I counted for the front crankset it is 40 teeth whereas the freewheel rear hub is around 14 teeth.

Is it possible if I change the front crankset to lesser tooth (say around 32 teeth) so that the riding effort is reduced? I dont mind losing the "top speed".
Right now it feels fast only on flat ground but even that also can feel abit of a struggle after a while.

Currently i'm using Giant Talon 2 (gift from someone).
It's 8 speed causing my leg mau patah during uphill. But cant complain since its free.

Planning to upgrade to SLX 12 speed. Is it good enough?
What component do i need though?
