junior senior technical lead cto
am I correct? or some switch to product management become a manager. specialist in Malaysia really underpaid, there's no point to be good at something unless you work extra take freelance or do own business.

You'd be surprised to know that most IT Managers in Malaysia is paid even smaller than those specialist Some IT Managers salary doesn't even reach RM7K

All of those are just titles, not a good indicator of "skill level" or "experience".
If you are a specialist you will definitely be paid well. If you're not, maybe you're not as specialised as you thought.

I'm not even a specialist. but what's so surprising about that? I'm looking at 250k per annum, not 10k a month, big difference.
