Watching the videos makes me feel old because I actually played 2 out of 3 id's early games (I played Commander Keen lol).

And got some very nostalgic feeling when the Doom first stage music play in part 3 of the video.

I'm actually OK with this as long as those hatches are like a few extra secret places that you have to really go out of the way to find it and not the only secrets in the game.

The idea is less intrusive and it gives people the incentives to buy a new copy instead of buying a second hand copy.

Those that choose not to buy a new copy might not even notice the hatches exist at all and they can still experience the game in full.
