My friend's birthday is coming next month. He helped me a lot during hard times so I would like to show my gratitude by giving him a watch. Which model and brand could you suggest that is both classy and affordable.

Consider Smartwatch?
Apple Watch if he use Ipong.
Samsung Watch if he use Samseng.
Huawei Watch if he use Hualauwei.

budget? for longetivity and sentimental value, get a proper mechanical watch lah...anything from swatch group would be good (tissot, hamilton, certina. mido - a basic automatic mechanical watch will do)....or if even more budgeted, seiko samurai/turtle,..or if even more budgeted, seiko 5 or even casio Gshock GA2100

Budget?

A good piece is a Seiko SARB033. Affordable, around 2k+ for a new one and discontinued already. Classy, dressy, elegant and baby grand Seiko

Start with budget, work back from there. For #affordable and #classy I'd say a Tissot Heritage Visodate or an Orient Bambino, can't go wrong

classy - g-shock bubye.

for below 1k - bambino nothing else from orient.

for below 2k - presage from seiko.

above 3k abit but below 5k - Tissot or Hamilton.

everything else is either china make RM10 per piece or Above 5k longines and so on.

dun waste ur time looking. just go for bambino or best orient star classic. can be had for 890 to 1100.

I am okay with the 10-15% premium, but I fundamentally disagree with the 50-100% premium charged.

But given there are buyers for those, you can't stop these unfortunately.
