I bought a 2nd hand house in Cheras, KL some time back. The previous owner doesn't have the CCC/CF with him anymore. The house is about 30 years old.

Questions:
1. Is it still possible for me to get a copy of the CCC/CF from DBKL for a 30 year old house? Will they still have the record?

2. If yes how much does this cost?

3. Is it something that i can just go there and request and they can give on the spot? Or it is something that they will take months to manually search through files?

4. How much does this cost?

Any advice from anyone who had done it before will be greatly appreciated.

what is your purpose for the cfo? It is used for initial to prove that the completed building can be used and all utilities can be applied. Even for renovation I dont think you need to prove it unless commercial building. You probably need to do a title search at land office to prove ownership as well as the SPA agreement if you decide to ask DBKL for it. Really not sure why you need it for.

Needed when trying to sell the house. Purchaser's lawyer and bank needs it.

Of course I took loan.

It seems when I bought it, the policy didn't requure these CCC/CF documents.

Now policy has changed. That's what i was told.

bank policy? thats not true. has been always their sop even though the practice is questionable. anyway the first owner loan from bank should have the copy as the final progress payment to developer should require CFO as proof. else try your luck at dbkl or the developer if they are still around
