yalor...have been wondering about that too...anyway, anyone here change their sprocket and chain??
what is the best chain for everyday long ride??wanna get top speed....428M??H??
*
thinking to change my sprocket set too. for everyday long ride, better use 428 or 420 chain,
because 415 one is too easy to loose (kendur). need maintenance often sweat.gif

top speed either use 15-36 or 15-37, but acceleration or pick up will suffer.
in order to gain both, either need to modify exhaust (actually change manifold is enough tongue.gif ) or other engine parts smile.gif

QUOTE(scoffer @ Feb 13 2009, 11:46 AM)
Basically the higher the octane rating the better the fuel burn and hence the detonation, nearly all motorbikes are designed to run on low octane fuel. 91 octane is best for most cars and bikes, but using 95 octane gas is a waste of RM and won't yield more power or improved mileage. Higher octane gas is beneficial and needed only if the vehicles engine has a higher compression ratio of at least 11:1
but it all depends on the compression ratio in the engine. The higher the ratio, the better it would be to use high- octane fuel. Something like that...
If you had a big Ducati you'd consider using high octane gas, if it's a moped, biasa nyer sudah okey.

*
nice explainations. but is it any side effect to the bike's engine part if use low octane petrol (those RON92)?

what is the best combination of tyre for my lc..
i want to use tt9 80/90 in front but not sure for rear..
please advice me...thanx
*
me use 80/80 front and 80/90 rear now.
but I think 90/80 for rear is better for cornering smile.gif

Umm i saw a suzuki bike wif clutch, monoshock 1 at the HotBike there wat bike is tat?? It looks quite nice, sumore the exhaust there writen ''DOHC'' so does it mean it got better pick up?? Cuz seldom see bike wif DOHC..
*
it might be those legendary Suzuki FX125. I heard that it is among the best 2-strokers in it's time.
and not to forget, stock FX can pawn LC easily sweat.gif

which one is more faster??
the normal lc or with hand clutch??
which one is more pick up??

as for pickup, for sure LC with hand clutch is more pick up.
but in terms of speed, there's no clear answer yet, as each machine is different from the others smile.gif

Ei samba bro lastnite forgot to ask u after instaling rear footrest how u change gear? Hook up or press down??? As u can see the way clutch n non clutch bike the method of changing rear is diferent...
*
if not mistaken racing footrest mostly hook up, just like clutch bike smile.gif

anyway, just got my NOB1 SSS installed, but 2nd hand one only,
as there's no stock at shop eventhough I've already placed the order 2 weeks ago doh.gif

whats ur  review about that pipe?
*
QUOTE(bizzy123 @ Feb 21 2009, 03:17 PM)
Ya how do u feel?? Does it cut down ur top speed??? I like to hv one but i hear ppl said it cut our top speed, and i juz put on the stupid carbon exhaust cover ( the round round one) cost me RM20++, somemore yesterday order pizza now pokai d.. How much u bought the pipe???
*
that top speed cut is a crap thingy. just now had tested my bike, can go 140km/h at 3/4 throttle. before this full throttle is hard to pass 130km/h.
pick up also good, accelerating from gear 3 felt like gear 2 only brows.gif

honestly, I really love the classic 'pom pom' sound,
but after a while you'll realised that it sound much like a stock EX5 laugh.gif

bought the exhaust from my friend, costs me rm130 sweat.gif
but I felt that it's worth my money buying the pipe biggrin.gif

QUOTE(charge-n-go @ Feb 22 2009, 12:27 AM)
anyway, from my experience, using NOB1 SSS increased overall low, mid range torque. high rpm power increased just a little, so top speed won't increase.
*
yeah, my foreman said that too. stock main jet just can't cope up with the pipe capability to channel out the air,
so he recommends me to change main jet and pilot jet, or the best is to use aftermarket bigger carb. smile.gif

i am still wondering how to get that pipe from mainland sleep.gif

noob question but  do u think it'll make any diff i change the air filter to a better one like K&N
*
correct me if wrong but I heard sumwhere that K&N original air filter would costs you more than RM300 sweat.gif

as told by charge_n_go, u should try to change ur sprocket setting. from my experience changing from stock setting (15-39) to 15-40 (428 chain), i can really feels the acceleration while maintaining my topspeed. Try to play around with ur sprocket setting 1st since it is not too expensive compared to CDI. go for cheap2 brand 1st, after u got the best setting, then u might consider to get better brand. after that, u can try to remove ur air-filter since the the diff in performance is noticeable and zero-cost... brows.gif
*
if remove the airbox cover, how did it sound?
but if my NOB1 pipe sound louder, then I might consider to remove the cover tongue.gif

Today i manage to lay my hand to NOB1 SSS, last stock at my place with rm160 (Foreman price he said  doh.gif ).
Went back and install it, took me nearly an hour, my tools not enough la. got prob to open the last nut on the exhaust, damn freaking tight.... doh.gif
*
congrats with the exhaust bro. forgot to tell you a useful when opening the exhaust's nut.
it is easier to open it when it is still hot since the nut's hole will expand smile.gif

QUOTE(charge-n-go @ Feb 28 2009, 09:51 PM)
raining0, let your bike run in for 2 weeks with SSS. You may get a softer exhaust sound and more engine torque drool.gif
*
lol, need to run in too meh? tongue.gif
don't know that either.. will wait till this weekend. smile.gif

hai

im very2 confuis noww..
can somebody give me advice or something..
Is LC/engine hv much prob?..
*
those problematic LC was caused by its owner themselves.
any bike will become problematic if the owner didn't do proper maintenance.

guess what, from my observation on first batch LC that mostly near 3 years old,
tits engine still smooth and the sound is barely heard compare to new batch smile.gif

yea, it is very smooth after that airflow mod. hey, but this is just the first step. After second and third step, it is a lot a lot more smoother. * let you kena some poison first tongue.gif *

now when I ter-used 2nd gear at traffic light, I still can accelerate. Really  thumbup.gif

I can't imagine using a big block. Plan to get 150cc FZ engine block, but it costs around 600 bucks. Compression ratio not as good as those racing block, but I guess smoothness is there.
*
what's the second and third step mod? wanna get poisoned too tongue.gif

one more question, what's the size of 150cc FZ block? hmm.gif
