how much for changing a racing carburetor ? bigger is better or smaller? True or not that CDI is the last to change after change those carb, camp, block and piston, exhaust? This post has been edited by mls_gamer: Dec 6 2008, 12:24 AM |

QUOTE(charge-n-go @ Dec 6 2008, 02:31 PM) From your modification, perhaps you can make a custom exhaust pipe. The muffler can be re-used, but the part which connects directly to engine must be changed. Increasing about 1/2" and make the L shape curve smoother can increase the power very well. However, don't make the diameter too big. This will result in slow flow exhaust gas (according to Bernoulli Theorem). if i use bigger carb that bigger than 28mm, i have to increase the part which connect to the engine with the stock exhaust?Racing carb is definitely a better choice compared to racing CDI. Racing carb $$$ varies from model to model. Some cheap ones are below RM250, and expensive one are more than RM1000. Mine is only a cheap one, RM250 punya Mikuni 28mm. It has good power, but response is bad. Sometimes, tarik throttle for 1 second only starts to boost....really omg. Now I revert back to stock and re-jet the carb myself. If using Mikuni Yoshimura MJN series, its 28mm is really awesome, even better response than our stock carb and produce more power than the normal 28mm carb. It is used in 135LC cubprix, power leh... Guess what's the price of that Yoshimura MJN 28mm? My advice is: 1) Customize your exhaust header / extractor. 2) Change to a racing carb. 28mm Uma Racing should be ok if the jet size are tuned correctly. 3) Change to racing valvespring to eliminate valve floating. Stock springs are too soft for high rpm. 4) Change to a racing CDI. That time your bike should can go 12,000rpm, higher than Takumi's AE86 Tofu car. Hope my 2 cents help. If i change the exhaust to NOB1 SSS do i still have to increase the diameter of the part that conect to engine? Racing valve spring cost around how much? and where it locate? today i go ask about the carb...he recommend me 32mm of keihin carb + a special hose for carb 32mm + installation cost rm290..........
