I also got that 'problem' before but almost entirely disappeared after I changed my extractor to 4-2-1.

hi, i am a newbie with car, and i jus hav a 2nd hand proton wira 1.5 M (2002). when i test the car in workshop, there were no major problem..
now i'm having a critical problem which the CHECK ENGINE WARNING LAMP -AMBER is on when i driving for long distance..

can any1 experts pls teach me wat should i do, the manual told me that THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST AUTHORISED PROTON DEALER.

is this a serious problem?
will it cost alot to fix it?

i bought 2nd hand wira last 2 weeks..it seems nice..but only 1 problem,
if i drive with passengers, mmm bout 3 people in the car, the exzos make a loud noise if i langgar lubang..not only lubang but if jalan bukit2 also..i mean jalan x rata la...i thought the exzos kena body or tayar..then i went to exzos shop..he said nothing wrong with the ekzos..anyone got idea???is it about the absorber??

but my minor problem still unsolved by SC
- while driving, sound 'kak' 'kak' from rear.
- when braking while taking corner at the junction, feel the vibration- izzit related with wheel balancing?

My P.Waja Campro 1.6E, the absorber spoilt again after used for 60,000km. Current mileage is 120,000km. My last changed for front and rear absorber is 65,000km . That time the absorber is completely worn out. Driving the car seems like sitting in a boat. Felt exactly the car is overturn  every time going through hard corner.

    Seems , for my car's absorber only last every 60,000km only. I tried Kayaba but still the same. The original from new car most probably only 2 brands only, Kayaba or APM only.

    Luckily, my car is a company car otherwise my maintenance expenses really a heavy burden to me coz the spare parts really doesn't last long at all although i always insist on ORIGINAL GENUINE PROTON'S PART.

Lolz...got my BLM for two weeks and this is the first time my car engine cannot start with the key. All the indicator icons are lit but no engine sound. Radio is functioning. Not even 1K service yet. 
I think something to do with the ID chip inside the key cannot detect. Wonder if they have warranty for this? 
Have to put the gear from P to N in order to start the engine. WTF?

NOTE: Panic button also first time try. Can on but hard to turn it off. Need couple of shakes and knocks to turn off the alarm. 

aun1986, no "wireling" happened. Didn't even manage to change the alarm yet also. 
anyway, tomorrow saturday I'll take the car to SC and ask them. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes it's dangerous if you park some lonely place and the car cannot start. 

Lolz..went to Proton Edar SC this morning and was turned down because they can only service a certain number of cars for that day. Decided to go to EON SC then. Went back RM139 poorer.

Things that was added:
1. Gasket Plug - Oil Drain (RM2.52) *Can't believe they charge me for the oil drain 
2. Surefire Fuel Injector (RM24.70)
3. Battery Protector (RM3.40) *This is I happy myself 
4. PTN Syntium 800 15W/50 4 Litre (RM97)
5. Oil Filter Campro Engine (RM12.22)
Labor charge FREE and I can bring my own oil for my next service.

Anyway, they say that my gearbox "did not" lock properly so that is why the engine could not start. They "re-adjust" the gearbox for me and ask me to test it out. If it happens again, they say they'll change the gearbox. 
So far, so good. If any other problems, will update it here.

Oh man.. after hearing all the stories, i feel kinda regret for ordering proton saga blm..

Hi guys,  I'm driving ISWARA 1.3 Sedan '97 at the moment.
I noticed that my steering vibrate when ever i reach 100 km/h.  It become gone once i reduce my speed to 90 km/h
I already done my balancing and alignment before chinese new year.

Is it my tyre problem, rim or something else?

Even sent my persona SE to the SC, they still can't solve the metal clanking sound at the right hand side in front of the car. The technician told me still waiting for the HQ to come out a solution and they will call you if they got solution, but now my car already bought for 1 year + and still no response from them.

Anyone having the same problem and already solve it, kindly please share... The noise is very annoying when turning on uneven road, felt like the tyre, spring or the absorber going to break...

Different SC different response? Well I guess the foremen are also very blur and sometimes can't be bothered to help you with tedious procedures of claiming warranty. Just ask you to replace and charge you for it.

this is third year im using persona.
i would like to know the solution:

1) while driving on rough surface road, I'm encounter some annoying sound from right side(driver seat). the sound like some steel rod rattling / besi longgar heard i think from rear. not sure though.

2) my dashboard also make some sound, also when on rough surface road.
how to eliminate this?

3) this quite serious i think, while braking i feel vibration with sound. like brake pad problem but according to SC, they said i have to do balancing. issit true? maybe tomorrow i go to tyre shop.

Driving a old Proton Iswara (1996'; Manual) and having several problems:

Fuel Meter not accurate, mileage and the "reset-able mileage" also having the same problem.

Fuel Consumption, I don't know whether it's okay or high. RM40 petrol 180KM ~ 220KM only. Mixture of town and high-way driving.

My friend said his Iswara (aeroback, Manual) RM60 can drive 400KM.... and my another friend's new saga (BLM; Auto) RM20 = 100KM

my iswara seem very hard to start during afternoon time after changing the distributor. i wonder wat's wrong with my car now. really piss off when my car cant start.

just to share wit u all...coz my car yesterday(10 june 2010) brake suddenly not working and  goes bang the front car coz i cant stop.....so my bonnet and bumper goes rosak..and now still discussing how to solve the problem...this brake problem i've complaint since the 1st day i took the car and i've sent to glenmarie for claim it....then 2nd time complaint again in 1K service in  glenmerie as well..then now is the 3rd time.it goes bang....haiz...3 super supervisor of their management come down and meet me to understnd about this problem...when i asked them issit im the 1st case on brake problem?he say " yes" dam it..i remember previously there were few ppl complaint about this brake problem,and i met few malay ppl who driving persona elegance here they mentioned they have the same problem,but they haven goes BANG like me....even ECU shut down suddenly and stop at highway......but then when they checking the car ,they talk secretly discussing among themselve...i cant hear anything @@.. so i dono wats the problem..at last 1 of the supervisor told me that mayb some batch is facing this problem but they canot let me know wats the "real problem" because they worry i will share wit u guys here online...as he told me = =..then i was nodoubt ..ok ..i respect ur rules n regulation in proton..but atleast fix my thing before im died...i told them..LOL...haiz...now still waiting..and they mentioned if really their problem, they will bare the cost of fixing my car...dam it.. i bet they sure cover this problem  ..hope they really check my car properly..another thing is my fuel guage will goes "empty" even i have full petrol inside..dam...now i've waited 2 days from their feedback and reply..keep calling and it seems they wana cover up this case.........coz they told me they never fixed since i've complaint so long..then they agreed to fix my car now they sounds like refused to let me claim..says by the i.care manager " c whether proton will "entertain " this cost of fixing or not DAM u proton!

hmm fyi, all of my wira mounting memang aredi broken all 
but how bout throttle body? should i need to repair/replace m.body 1st? then troubleshoot further if prob exist?
