I have one question. I brought my Kelisa to a shop to get it repainted from silver to yellow-black. Where should I go to change the details of the color of my car or the so-called the database stored by the government for reference? Cheers

need to recheck fuel line and most times the smell comes from the fuel cannister which could be broken/damaged.

But then sometimes i feel proton's performance and power is better than perodua.
Take Myvi for example, crusing at 140kmph will feel the whole car shuddering and feel like you are losing control.
Dunno why most perodua cars like that, kelisa also...
*
weird...my myvi cruising at 160km/h feels good...not like what u said...

kelisa is too light...

its because the chassis is nt as rigid as proton chasis and plus the wheelbase of most perodua cars is quite small making the car nt very stable at high speeds perodua cars are meant 2 be cars 2 cruise in city nt high spirited driving on highway

Woo.. So recently the proton does have so many problems huh?
Even aircon can smelled petrol smell? That's terrible. Luck mine doesn't have that problem, else fainted in the car also don't know what's happen.

Erm.. My Proton doesn't have any problems besides:~
1) Door alarm buzz when under hot weather because of the door close sensor.
2) Power windows motor on driving side spoilt and changed.
3) Petrol Meter spoilt and pending to be changed.
4) Exhaust silencer "bocor".
5) Some of the door lock jam even when alarm released.

Not much, just 5 mar. 2 and 3 happen just one week right after the warranty's over. See how accurate the warranty of proton is. smile.gif

Hi, nice to have this thread here. Anyways, my dad owns a Proton Waja (2000) 1.6L. The problems are stated are below, hope to receive tips to fix or better yet overcome the problem.

1. Squeaking engine sound in the morning and during rainy days.
2. Petrol meter doesn't work properly. Sometimes it shoots to zero(Make me almost tiok heart attack nia) when there is still fuel. It fixes by itself but how to prevent this from happening once and for all.
3. The power window(Most common, I know). My dad says if you wind down or up the window by pressing it several times instead of one go, does it really increase the longevity of the windows? Or is there some other tricks to it?

Thanks in advanced.

i sent it back to eon before cuz my car kena the "boot leaking" defect. everytime rain my spare tire compartment sure banjir sweat.gif .

Yeah i guess i was lucky. No major problems so far, only those minor minor stuff like fuel meter loose, tyre puncture.....bla bla bla.... most of the components including the power windows are still stock.

my speedometer behaviour is now like this..

Stationary - 30kph, after whacking the meter, 0 kph rclxm9.gif .
Pickup - seems fine, from 0-40kph
Travelling on highways - 160 kph - 240 kph rclxub.gif . and lorries and buses are still overtaking me
bumps - jumps to 240 kph, and then back to 80 kph sweat.gif flying.

do i need to replace it based on the symptoms above? if lets say i get those "External" meters (just rewire and stick on top of the dashboard), how much is it ar? can get below rm200?

anybody got recommendation of chop shop in penang island?

Hmm, this thread ought to be deleted. Is this just another SPAT version of SPAM? Almost 10 days also still no reply.
