The thread at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4906093 talks about how to disable wifi but in my case I need to connect my PC to ONU-Alcatel-Lucent-I240G modem where the
optic cable connected and there are 4 slot for lan cable as you can see below.

I want to avoid the TP-Link Dual Band Unifi Router altogether as I do not need WIFI so can I connect my cat 8 lan cable straight to the back of the Alcatel modem from my desktop for internet ?

Can any SIfu help me in the set-up because I just plug into any of the slot and it cannot connect...





Currently connecting to internet via TP-Link Dual Bank WIFI ROuter connected by the blue colour cable above but found the speed and latency to be still slow so think of another Unifi line to
used it to connect direct to PC from the modem to bypass the dual bank wifi router..

Connect to back of router that is after the modem.

You cant connect direct at the BTU.

In fact ,u can disable the wifi from tplink archer c1200 router.
Open router web page , click advanced---wireless--
wireless setting--untick the "enable wireless radio" .
I guess other model from tplink router about the same as i mentioned.
Just try it.

You can do that. I don't know how exactly but the steps are:
1. Connect PC to LAN1 of BTU.
2. Set your PC ethernet card to VLAN 500.
3. Setup a PPPoE dialer. (Unifi username and password goes here.)

I think that's it.
