Can use timber floorboards as ceiling too. Just make sure u make the support frame out of steel. I have done this for Pak Lah's daughter's condo at Damansara Perdana many years ago. The floorboards is American Walnut and support frame is galvanized steel. A 100 sq ft ceiling is around RM 25K inclusive of materials.
Alternatively if no budget can use laminate timber floorboards and since it is lighter, can use timber batten (kokchai) for ceiling support. Ensure u spray termite chemical before installing the floorboards first. |
