OK. Thank you.
Now not really urgent as using working laptop. Might get personal laptop later maybe 11.11 or during promotion.

How about HP and ASUS no recommendations? Is Lenovo Ideapad 5 series good?
Ideapad 3 not recommended?

if yes, ideapad gaming 3

since your usage needs decent hardware but your budget is limited

1. Budget: less than 3k
2. Usage: office work, online class, streaming
3. Requirement: this is for the elder so looking for the biggest screen size as the budget allowed

Thanks sifu!

Build quality has to be okay, not necessarily to be premium
Wait time as in out of stock? If yes, then i am okay with that if its worth the wait nod.gif

If not fine with sacrificing build quality and some thermal performance. What would you suggest?

lower speced models which might not be able to fulfill your usage - there's no decent gaming/performance laptop under RM3k unless you go for used

Hi Sifu-sifu, posted quite some time ago for my wife's laptop advice. Thanks so much to those who suggested, we ended up getting the Acer Swift 5! So now has come my turn to upgrade mine (soon™).

Below are some of the specs and requirements:

1. Budget :
The cheaper the better. But if I would say max would be maybe around RM7k? As long as for that price point I can get good spec=price.

2. Usage :
Graphic designing and light-med gaming. So would be probably on the CPU-intensive end for Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and maybe light 4k editing. In terms of gaming, it would be nice to play the AAA titles, but not necessary at high/ultra settings. As long as more than 60fps Im okay.

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
Not really looking for anything larger than 15" tbh. I would say the sizing is more for the portability when travelling or going to client meetings. So light-ish would be awesome. Most likely would be plugging in to an external monitor/keyboard/mouse if I'm at home. USB-C / Thunderbolt charging would be great as well. Looking at more of the AMD Ryzen CPUs as I feel they work better for the adobe software but do feel free to recommend intel based ones.

Just looking for something to be a better desktop replacement and would last me for the next 5 years or so. No rush to get it. Just wanted to see some of my options. I saw AMD coming up with laptop-based AMD GPU's so that might be a better bank for the buck down the line. I will most likely wait towards the end of the year before getting it.

Also looked at the ASUS Flow X13. Great concept and fit my criteria, but that price point tho. OOF.

Apologies on the long post. Thanks in advance!
