i did look at those 2.1 but the woofer output is rated at 100w. The woofer i have is rated at 300-400w. Do you think 100w can push 300w?
yes and no.. normally speaker will have their working range wattage. only active speaker they will give the wattage number driving the speaker. 300w sounds like max recommended wattage
for example i am pulling a spec for dali epicon
Product series EPICON
Frequency Range (+/-3 dB) [Hz] 35 - 30,000
Sensitivity (2,83 V/1 m) [dB] 89.0
Nominal Impedance [ohms] 5
Maximum SPL [dB] 112
Recommended Amplifier Power [W] 50 - 500But since you are asking in audiophiles section, i will recommend to drive your speaker with amp > speaker wattage. If your speaker is 200 w you can get 300 w amp to drive
Alternatively, you can consider subwoofer amp like below:
.
direct input from source and output to your passive speaker and at the rear of the amp there's a speaker wire for your subwoofer. the problem its this is, you might need to find and enclosure if not you can customize your car subwoofer to put this directly to your subwoofer box.
