Erm, normally when you slide up, the background light will be activated right?

With the R1KG001 firmware, sometimes it won't light up.

Yes, but only certain default themes allow the display in full size. For example, Female Lines and Walkman. Orange Bubbles and Grouped do not allow it, not to my knowledge. hmm.gif
