Hi all proud W850i users, I need a little help. My W850i seems slow especially the flash desktop. Is there any way to speed up the unit? I've already tried minimising the phone memory usage and deleted all unnecessary softwares from it, but it still feels abit slow. What I mean by slow is that the flash animation is not smooth, its more like frame by frame animation.

its normal. upgrade firmware to R1JC will improve bit.

how 2 check if my phone is cid49 or cid51?

You need Davinci Client to check. But R1GB001 should be CID 51.

i cant find bootscript for w850i cid51 in my far manager.. where to get it??

wat is the CID 51..? is it the vodafone only has this code?

mines not vodafone..

thx for the link. however, my comp doesnt seem to detect my phone. the da vinci client, xs ++ also cant detect. i hold down c while plugging the cable in.

anyone knows why??

U can also try setting the clock size to small..,seems to improve performance a little 4 me

Hi FunnyTone, do you try reset your phone before ? But before reset make sure backup all the thing ...if not you will lose it forever

Oh ya, and try also off the phone. took out the battery then plug back and on.... see how also.....

sadly you not able to read chinese...if not , the site i recommended to you last time might able to answer your question...

i know one method but need to pay 10 euro.. i just wanna know if its possible to do it for free.. no dedicated translater.. haiz..

by the way, you edit the tpa file will it void warranty?


I read the web site that talks about FAR tricks that can enhance some function..well i also got interest to try..but i scare of void warranty...since just buy not more then 1 month...sayang la...if rosak.... =(

haha if can i wanna make the SMS tone more longer..10 sec is quite short ...

aiyo.. say de alot times.. w850 still cant read using FAR Manager.. unless you have the 1st firmware which is R1ED
