Hi all sifu
I recently bought s24u and this is my first 5g phone which means i never use 5g b4 this
So i went to digi got my esim set up on my s24u
Connecting to 4g+ is fast and good which i dun mind since i always use 4g.
But then i got curious and wanted to see 5g powar but never seem to get it i use nperf to see which area got 5g coverage and go to that area switch on aeroplane mode on and off a couple of time make sure will auto select 5g if avalable is selected but no matter what i do always only 4g+
Then i google and discover that since im on "mi digi postpaid basic 35 high speed" as stated in my mydigi app
i need to purchase more to access 5g so i went to mydigi app and see what are my option and see that the only usable one is "500gb 5g+4g rm8 and only for 4days!!!!!!
Does that means if i buy this for rm8 i will hav access to 5g for only 4days lol
Tq in advanced for ur help.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 3 2024, 08:35 AM) Hahaha, 5g free access for all is just a dream. For some telco like celcom digi, they don't bother giving you 5g if you stay on old legacy plan. Even new plan gives you 5g capped at 100mbps which 4g can achieve more than that speed. Yes, you can consider switching as there is no significan benefit, unless you are on more expensive plan which offers roaming perks. RM25 gives you 40gb which is more data than your current plan. If convert from postpaid to prepaid can keep my existing postpaid number on the prepaid plan kah???? Or need a new number?

Did a speed test b4 my 5G expires. Tested on my s24u directly under the 5G tower.
