Guys, I'm considering to MNP to Digi after my contracts end with Maxis...

Recently has been noticing that Maxis coverage and data speed isn't as promising as before...

I was once a Digi & Celcom user before I stick with Maxis. Reason I left Digi was due to their poor coverage at that point of time.

Not sure whether now have Digi improve with the coverage and data speed? Mainly travelling around Klang Valley areas.

Hopefully some users here can share their experience with me before I make my decision...

TQVM~

With currently EMCO in most of Selangor area, no where I can go to try it out as of now...

My wife has a Digi postpaid line which my daughter is using it right now. I took the simcard and put it into my phone sim1 and switch my own line into sim2...

Tested it at a place where I mostly hang out recently, whereby previously Maxis signal & data is weak. With Digi, it seems like I'm able to load youtube and the signal bar shows 2 bar of signal and occasionally still have 4G connection... So it seems like Digi did really improve compare to previous and Maxis looks like going backward but still charging high rate...

Will monitor for few more days and see what is the outcome since I still have 1 month+ before I make any decision...

If the result is positive, mostly will switch all my 4 lines & home fibre to Digi, since can save around RM130 per month. Only downside is no more unlimited data(for phone lines) & unlimited SMS brows.gif

[QUOTE]

Hi there. Me and my family using Digi more than 20 years+ I would say Digi is way better now and their voice calls are clear and connect instead. About 4G network they’re best in Klang area right now. Every where gets signal Digi becoming best and Maxis becoming worst.

Maxis was good back then now they become rubbish speeds low slowest VoLTE rollout. I didn’t understand line like shit but charging premium in plan if you forget to pay in due date line is barred and when we pay they charged reconnecting fee for RM10😢. Every loopholes they earning money from customers with Digi no those stupid nonsense charges

So go with Digi you should be happy

I was once a Digi user and change to Celcom for a while then end up with Maxis for almost 10 years...

Didn't expect with premium price tag but the services provided are getting lousier day by day...

Maybe they spent too much on marketing and neglected to upgrade their system...

Anyway, mostly I would switch over to Digi once my contract ends next month on the 24th...

So far I just need to clarify whether I can also change my Maxis Home Fibre to Digi Fibre, cause I've been asking around from Digi centres and Digi Helpline, both of them are giving me different answer on this matter...

Digi Helpline told me that my address doesn't have coverage for Digi Fibre while salesperson from Digi centres told me that as long as I'm using Maxis(which is also riding on Unifi infra), then Digi Fibre will be available at my area...

I’m not sure about it. Digi helpline sometimes lousy they not giving proper information. Better walk in Digi centre and ask about it. I’m rather stuck with unifi 😅 because of their own Infra
*
My parent home was using unifi 5mb for years where the pricing was still sky high. Then I help them to change to Maxis cause we can get unlimited data plan for our phone lines.

But since Maxis coverage & data speed are getting worse and so happen my contrwct going to end next month. Then I'm thinking to switch all my lines & home fibre into Digi. Digi Fibre offer higher speed atcheaper rate if applying as a Digi postpaid user.

My parent are using broadband for casual fb, whatsapp and the most is watching tvbox. My existing Maxis 30mb already sufficient for their daily usage, but who doesn't want a faster speed yet with cheaper rate rclxm9.gif

Hi guys, anyone here using DG60 (25GB) and get offer from Digi that get extra 30GB for 1 year contract?

Just wondering the additional 30GB data quota is it full speed, shareable through hotspot and with sublines?

If we terminate the contract earlier, is the penalty fee still RM30 or different?

Any idea why Digi only enable 5G for their RM90 package and above?

Can we make complaint to MCMC that telco shouldn't force users to upgrade to certain package in order to enjoy faster speed?

Guys, I might be getting a Vivo or Iqoo phone from China.

Just wondering what are the 5G band list that support in Malaysia?

Will there be any service/quality interference with using a China Rom handphone with local 5G?

And is every telco in Malaysia that offer 5G service using the same band list?

MUST support LTE B28

n78 is current primary band we use, common on almost all 5g phones from china

but our 5g is unique that it's NSA with LTE B28 as anchor band
*
So as long as the china phone has n78 and NSA LTE B28, then the phone should work with most of the 5G service providers in Malaysia?

this new 80 2022 plan actually comes with a renewed 1 year contract. Silly me answered their call while I was half awake and only realised after ending the call that they said they were tying me into a year of contract
*
New 80 2022 plan? Is this only offer to those previously using their RM80 plan?

Yes. But no more daily 1GB free. They just total up to 145GB monthly quota for my plan
*
RM 80 for 145GB of monthly data is very reasonable, compare to my RM60 only 30GB + 30GB + 10GB...

all the 145GB can be use for hotspot too? uncapped speed?

Guys, just wondering how come DG plans are not consistent?

My friend using DG 120, getting 225GB (70+60+60+35)data per month. Some more entitled for RM 15 discount per month, so only need to pay RM 105 for 225GB...

But when I see from DG website, DG120 only offers 105GB...

Is there some kind of tricks need to be done in order to get this kind of "offer"???

Anyone receive sms from Digi saying that the DG60 package will be entitle for additional 20GB data starting from 16th Mar?

I wonder when will Digi let users that below RM90 package to enjoy 5G speed.

Look at U mobile, their RM98 package already offering 1000GB full speed 5G.

Yeah, received this:

Great news! Your Digi Postpaid 60 bonus quota will be upgraded to 20GB (12mths) by 16 Mar for FREE. Enjoy total 50GB high speed base quota https://digi.my/iflf

My previous experience with umobile was not good. Am not keen to try again no matter the price or 5G availability.
*
Mind to share what sort of unpleasant experience with umobile?

Full bar 4g but speed like 2g. Totally unusable in my neighbourhood.

This was like 3 years back though but I’ve not been tempted to try again as digi works well for me so far.
*
My son is using umobile prepaid and I tried with his simcard. Overall is equal or slightly better than Digi within KV...

But non of the telco is perfect, it only depends on one needs~

no luck. digi's cs are very robotic in their replies. so porting out this month end. lol. naber mind , i can always cum bk. just wanna tried out the 5g since i just got a 5 G phone. lol.
*
Indeed their CS are not flexible enough. Btw are you contacting them by phone or online chat?

I did received sms from Digi saying that after 16th Mar, I'll be getting additional 20GB instead of current 10GB. Plus now they offer free 5G usage for DG40 & 60 users until 30th April. And I've been using their 5G since few days ago. The highest speed I can get is around 9xxmbps while average is about 5xxmbps.

Beside feel slightly speedy of browsing and the nice to see 5G icon at the status bar, I don't quite agree the way Digi implement RM10 extra monthly in order for users to enjoy 5G speed.

And if I successfully got the offer from Digi after 16th Mar, meaning my DG60 will have 80GB in total. The other day I went to their centre before Digi announce additional monthly RM10 to enjoy 5G speed, trying to sign up for a phone but it is only available for DG90 package, which currently only has 50GB data. So I offer them saying that if Digi can give me 100GB monthly data, then I will proceed with it. The CS tried to help me by email to their higher management team, but end up still no luck.

Hopefully Digi will refresh their box of surprise that suits me soon..

Anyone subscribe to digi fibre? Is it good? My place dont have Time fibre, so looking for options from telcos. Any advice
*
My parent's house is using DG Homefibre 50. Switching over from Maxis 30 and so far no regret doing so.

So far for 3 CCTV, 2 tvbox, 2 hps, 1 pc, connection seems to be more stable than Maxis.

i contacted their cs through digi helpline. anyway i don't need that much data,60 gb is more than enough for me. home and office got wifi.will try umobile coz i am not sure my area got good coverage or not.
*
Me too don't need so much data. If is not because Digi set this kind of rules whereby DG90 and above only get to enjoy 5G, I wouldn't bother to think about upgrade...

And so happen one of their phone package quite attracts me, but too bad they cannot provide better DG90 data package for me. Who will be crazy enough to pay more $$$ and get lesser data in return, just because wanted to use 5G speed...

Anyway, lets see what will DG do after the FOC 5G speed for DG40 & 60 after 30th April...

I thought you can chat with Digi CS via their website? App I think can also although I haven't try before...
