QUOTE(bergstein @ Sep 5 2020, 03:26 PM) I using prepaid bigbonus 28, Wifi Calling is working but if data is still ON, sometimes it will disconnect call in the middle of conversation, seems like it may randomly switch between wifi calling and cellular so end up I put airplane mode + wifi only when I at place with only wifi, no more call disconnection I also encounter the same case as you. I notice it is because the phone is trying to jump to 3G when the 4G turns weaker, even its on wifi calling. I suspect it’s due to Digi’s configuration. I did not encounter such thing in some overseas telco on wifi calling, even when the 4G drops to 3G on the same phone. This post has been edited by Hummingbird: Sep 5 2020, 04:02 PM

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 4 2020, 01:36 PM) china low end phones... cannot use with some malaysian telco band... signal strength would be unstable.. something like that.. iphone should be okay. non issues... Yeah some of the low or even mid range smartphones are only supporting very low LTE cat, or some lack some features such as only supporting intraband and not interband carrier aggregation. These are some factors affecting the network quality from the client end.

QUOTE(Gold_Moderator @ Feb 7 2021, 10:00 AM) not free. charge as your call plan. one thing disadvantage, you will charge oversea call if u call back to Malaysia from oversea. Umobile wifi call charge as local rate if wifi call from overseas to Malaysia. Not true, you will only be charged as roaming call rate if you’re calling Malaysia number via the host country’s roaming network. Otherwise, it’s the same rate as Malaysia domestic call if the call is made via wifi calling. This post has been edited by Hummingbird: Feb 10 2021, 12:06 AM

QUOTE(Candy12 @ Feb 11 2021, 01:04 AM) Instead of connecting through mobile base station, your calls will be routed via WiFi where your phone is connected as the name implies. Even if you have ZERO bars of signal strength from your mobile network, your WiFi will take over the role of connecting your phone back to the telco network. But so far I find DiGi has one of the lousiest support for VoLTE/WiFi for phone models. It's spotty even my Xperia phone with Europe firmware is not recognized on their network. No issues with standalone 4G networks such as Yes 4G and Unifi Mobile though. They work seamlessly. It looks like Digi is not focusing on it but I guess its fully supported on most recent iPhone models

QUOTE(Ranny @ Sep 4 2021, 11:06 AM) Hi anyone know how to remove the voice over wifi settings? [attachmentid=10965565] Any reason that you want to disable this function? This is supposed to be a feature to improve your voice call quality.

QUOTE(joshhd @ Sep 19 2021, 11:16 PM) Do you guys realise that Digi VoWiFi would intermittently stop working even if the phone stay connected to the same network? As in, VoWiFi icon goes missing, and the phone would just use VoLTE instead of VoWiFi, even when connected to the same home WiFi network. It very rarely happens, but still, it happens once in a bluemoon. And the workaround is, turn off WiFi, and then turn on again (and then reconnects), then VoWiFi icon appears. Do any of you experience this? Yes it does happen if you have unstable 4G connection at the location. For example, if your phone will always toggle between 3G and 4G at a specific location, no matter how strong is your wifi, the wifi calling will be off and on as well. I think something has to be adjusted at Digi’s side on this.

QUOTE(chrischiang @ Sep 20 2021, 07:06 PM) thanks for heads up.. i guess i can live with login to fb every time rather than i have issue receiving phone call then have to meet courier else where to pick up my stuff... during the wifi calling off and on.. do u experience drop call? It depends. If the fallback 3G network is good, you will only notice a short gap of silence. But in my case, the 3G is equally bad so most of the time the experience is not good. I will just turn on airplane mode and use the wifi calling. But like I said earlier, this is not the fault of the technology but rather Digi needs to optimise its implementation. I used to use the wifi calling of a telco from another country and the wifi calling really acts as a shield to preserve the seamless experience of voice calling especially when the network drops from LTE to 3G. I did feedback to the customer support but I think either they didn’t understand or they just didn’t care. This post has been edited by Hummingbird: Sep 23 2021, 10:52 PM

Hello all, I am using Digi Smart Prepaid, which used to come with 2GB 4G data for each weekend. However the data bucket that shows the usage has disappeared after the recent upgrade. Does anyone experience the same thing?

Please don't revise Digi's plans to emulate Celcom's stingy plan. I doubt it will still continue to operate separately in long run. It doesn’t make sense for private corp.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 2 2023, 04:31 PM) I wouldn't be surprised if 5G can still be used without additional charges after the "free trial period", let's not forget that government is about to finalize on DNB's 5G implementation, any u turns can happen between telco plans. What's the point of making up a "limited time offer" for users on cheaper plans to access 5G on a "free trial period" for a month and then charge additional fee just to use 5G afterwards? Smells like some capitalist marketing gimmick here. Not sure what the current madani government will do with it. They can’t let the DNB to go toward loss-making too as the damaged is done by the previous government. Technically DNB is still owned by government…
