i think my digi prepaid simcard is faulty, cant detect in the phone though swap sim or handphone, could apply sim replacement online and get the simcard posted to me? How much to replace faulty simcard? A bit troublesome to go to the digi store cause the nearest digi store would be 100km away, tq

You can also do it with Digi dealer.

If the new number is VIP number (without extra fee), for sure get new number for gadget... the existing number can throw away if not use for TAC/MSOS code...

Gadget SIM is only data access SIM.

Is there any way I can change from a postpaid plan to prepaid without visiting Digi Store?

Can I do it at Digi Express Store?

Or, can it be done via CS?

For sure cannot change through CS or online. Have to visit a physical store to change, but I'm not sure if Digi Express can do or not.
Alternative method to change without needing to visit Digi store is to MNP out and then MNP back to Digi prepaid.
*
Ya, I guess that's the only option. MNP-ing to other telco.

I wanted to switch my Postpaid 40 to Yoodo, I get only 25GB data and unlimited calls on Digi. I can forgo the free calls and Yoodo is 20GB for RM 20.

Then, Digi counter-offered me with Postpaid 35 that gives 30GB data, additional 3GB hotspot and unlimited calls. After consideration, I accepted the offer to stay back with Digi.

Even without Yoodo, my second option will be Celcom mix and match which is also RM 35 (30GB and unlimited calls) and it has advantage because it comes with 5G. However, this Digi no. is always in my router which doesnโ€™t support 5G, so I guess I can continue using Digi 35 for now. Since it has no contract attached, so I can still switch to other telco next time. tongue.gif

No no. I donโ€™t want capped speed. 3Mbps or 6Mbps is not enough for me. Too bad.
This is for my spare data to use but I donโ€™t want capped speed.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jan 8 2023, 08:17 PM)
To me 5G is still long way to go unless you have device which can support it. The offer is reasonable, I suppose without any speed cap right?
*
I do have devices which support it but not 5G routers yet. laugh.gif Yes, no speed limit.

Can I walk into Digi Centre to terminate a prepaid line? I donโ€™t want to wait till the line goes expired (90 days later) or MNP to other telco and let it get inactivated there.

Terminate Prepaid no need walkin. Wait until it bar then auto terminate. Last time I went to Digi centre and the staff told me this and I wasted my petrol to go there  sad.gif
*
I know but is there any option to get it terminated earlier? I already have 5 SIM for prepaid and I need to clear one quota for a new no.

Yes u can walk-in.
But why though not just let it auto terminate?
*
I did explain earlier because I need to clear off the quota for another prepaid no.

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Jan 11 2023, 08:28 AM)
is there even such a thing as terminating prepaid number?
*
I donโ€™t know, hence I asked.

Ohhh bought ong number?

U can try call Digi see if they allow terminate via phone call (since live chat no longer working) else have to walk-in
*
No worries. Iโ€™m back in office these two days and thereโ€™s one Digi Centre near to my office. I will find time to walk in to ask.

Itโ€™s not any ong no., just converting one of my postpaid SIMs to prepaid.

I walked in to Digi Centre, The Gardens and managed to terminate that prepaid no. It takes 24-48H to be terminated. At least it can be done.

The Roaming pass for one month for RM 95 is worth it. I paid for one month and used it in the Philippines, Singapore, Turkey, Greece, and Thailand since I traveled to five countries in a month. laugh.gif

Though I admit when I was in Greece, the connection wasn't that good. Otherwise, it worked well in other countries.

I am traveling to Thailand and the Philippines again end of the month till early July; I needed just two weeks and cross countries but couldn't find a good deal. sad.gif Maybe I should opt for a monthly one as well as I may be going to HK around the end of July.

One of my cousin staying there.....

Digi LTE is not really stable... Sometimes got, sometimes don't have....

Only available & stable is 2G GSM... Incoming outgoing calls & sms okay ๐Ÿ‘ No issues ๐Ÿ˜

U can check out MyDigi... Got show there... Network performance something.... Key in landmark & get network performance status ๐Ÿ˜”

I'm not sure about other areas but my home is near to PD town and it has been quite stable and fast, all the time >130Mbps.

I dislike how they revised the roaming pass RM98 for 30GB/month. Now, it is 2GB/day and unlimited for 1Mbps, which can only do a little with this speed; I prefer the whole chunk of 30GB rather than just limiting it to 2GB per day.

I didn't know this, should have used it earlier. Anyway, the 98 was so well worth as I used to travel 3-5 countries in a month. sad.gif

In the list, the only country I go very often is Bangkok Thailand, like every month once.. Used to incorporate Thailand in my monthly roaming pass when I travel to other countries too.
Anyway, in August I only travelled to Thailand so I got the normal True tourist pass from Shopee, it is so well-worth, unlimited data for around RM 20. Though it says it is capped to 15Mbps but I have been getting 5G speed all the time up to 400Mbps in Bangkok.

I think moving forward, I will only go to Thailand every month. So this RM 98 thingy may not work well for me anymore unless I need to travel to other countries again.
