QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 8 2021, 01:04 PM) good.. hope maintain or improve... if follows Celcom.. then might have problems... Looks like the other way round this time... Celcom has 51% share...

It is interesting to see how both companies still work separately and technically may still be competitors...

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Apr 8 2021, 03:53 PM) Such a sad news. Digi is better off merging with U Mobile, though i agree that Vincent Tan's company isn't exactly easy to work with. Been avoiding Celcom like plaque. And how funny that a company that is making so much less profit is having their top people to hold the number 1 post in the proposed merged company The reason they want to keep two brands going for the time being is to convince people that we still have choices. But should the merger really takes off, it's just a matter of time they will kill off the Digi brand. Merged companies always do this. And all the ang moh top brass from Digi will all eventually return to Scandinavia as the Norwegian government slowly divests from the merged company. Yes, sooner or later Digi branding may be killed off. Well, after working with an international organization which went through a few rounds of merger and acquisition, I must say it is just a matter of time only...

QUOTE(shaktiv8 @ Apr 15 2021, 10:05 AM) Hello! Just got my first Digi bill today in the email, and I noticed that each number has a RM10 processing fee What is this ya? This is stamp duty, applies to all telcos' postpaid/broadband plans. Only one time payment.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Apr 15 2021, 11:56 AM) Do Digi/telco really paid the stamp duty? or just trick to earn side money? QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 15 2021, 12:02 PM) stamp duty paid to government lah. all numbers belong to government. if this is 20 years ago, we're to pay RM60 every month just to rent the number. QUOTE(Steponlego @ Apr 21 2021, 02:14 AM) Is Digi Fiber internet good? Reliable service? My area just recently got internet fiber, I'm thinking either Unifi or Digi. Right now Digi is offering me good price for 300mbps since I'm a long time inifinite 150 user. Care to share what’s the price? I’m also a long term Digi user with multiple postpaid plans, inclusive of Digi Infinite 150. I’m thinking to apply for Digi or Celcom Fibre once I move into my new place in few months time. I didn’t consider UniFi this round because I may need to terminate it earlier once TIME arrives and for Digi/Celcom Fibre I only need to pay RM 500 termination fees which usually TIME may absorb. Digi will also use UniFi infrastructure as well. They will also use TIME infra if available. So I guess it’s fine if you want to go for Digi.

QUOTE(Steponlego @ Apr 21 2021, 05:05 AM) They offer me Digi Internet Freedom 150. Which is 300mbps downstream and 50mbps upstream I think. Normal price is Rm150. They say here they give RM20 lifetime rebate + RM30 rebate for 24 months (this one is for digi postpaid subscriber) . Which brings down the price to RM100 per month not including tax. RM106 with tax. Not bad eh? My only concern is the 'best effort basis' in the term. If they cannot at least give constant download speed 100mbps, might consider downgrade to Digi Fiber 130. That's a very good deal actually. Not sure if I will be tied with contract. Sounds like it may. Where did you get the offer? Digi Centre?

QUOTE(Steponlego @ Apr 21 2021, 01:45 PM) Got SMS from digi (DigiBOS) saying they're a doing a campaign for digi fiber. I somehow click on the link. My area never had any fiber connection, so I jokingly search for my address and surprisingly somehow my area is now covered. Filled their form to register interest last week, then 3 days later got email reply. Good to hear that, I don't have such SMS. I think they follow your IC address. Never mind, once I settle down I will ask CS/Digi Centre if there is any promo for existing postpaid users.

QUOTE(pc-lee @ Apr 23 2021, 09:52 AM) Hi all. I’m an old timer maxis, thinking of jumping to Digi postpaid due to the cheaper esim package and plan compared to maxis. Any feedback or thoughts I should know before jumping to Digi? 😁 Anybody who lives with you is using Digi? How's the Digi speed? Otherwise, try with one prepaid plan. Not everybody has same experience as it is location dependant. I'm very happy with Digi though. This post has been edited by fruitie: Apr 23 2021, 10:05 AM

Having prepaid accounts in almost all telcos, I have to say Digi still has the longest grace period.

QUOTE(dgboy @ Apr 25 2021, 08:58 PM) I miss the days when 90 days was the standard for all telcos. 50 days like Hotlink applies is just 7 weeks, their forum here is full of users requesting reactivation of expired numbers. Exactly. Celcom also gives 50 days if I’m not mistaken. Among all, Hotlink app lets users know when the no. will be terminated. So that’s a plus point despite shorter grace period. Digi requires users to call 016-2211800 to hear from the automated recorded voice, I don’t think USSD works. Celcom is the worst, no indication at all and users have to manually calculate.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 26 2021, 05:07 AM) You forgot unifi prepaid leh..... Nowhere in the app it is indicated. Last I read when I bothered looking for it, we need to call in and ask. Yes, that also. So, I make sure to use once every 60 days.

Mine also seems OK, I was even using it for work purpose. Had meetings and the last one finished at 9.00 p.m. just now. No disconnection or whatsoever and in fact I only knew about the outage when I opened Facebook and saw some online news reporting it.
I’m in Seremban 2 area. Surprised to see it was a nationwide issue?

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ May 6 2021, 01:01 PM) Digi differentiate voicemail intondomestic and when roaming!? Yes. Many people got bill shock for overseas voice mail when they travel. QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 6 2021, 01:35 PM) I am getting that voicemail notification ever since I change new sim card. Someone previously suggest to put the sim into any Android phone, then leave a voicemail and then delete the voicemail before swapping the sim back into iPhone. I don't have any Android phone to try. It's not about enable or disable voicemail. It's something like a bug that happens on Digi with iPhone virtual voicemail. I don’t know I am using iPhone and never got any notification. I have disabled voicemail since years ago.

QUOTE(shaktiv8 @ May 22 2021, 12:21 AM) Hello! When I’m using hotspot on DiGi 3G for Netflix streaming, every like 10-20 minutes the data will just stop working and I need to turn it on and off again for the 3G data to start back Speeds are okay before the data disconnects Anybody notice this issue before? 3G still loads stuff these days? My 3G never works and extremely slow. Try switching to at least 4G? I have no issue with data tethering been using it in my router for 4 years.

QUOTE(ben16 @ May 23 2021, 11:32 AM) Ant advantage to having an Ambassador plan - postpaid? These days no longer attractive unless you are having Ambassador 0 which has zero access fees then it’s good. I’m still having that plan. It’s no longer offered years ago. These days many postpaid plans are better than the Ambassador Plan.
