Guys, just wondering how come DG plans are not consistent?

My friend using DG 120, getting 225GB (70+60+60+35)data per month. Some more entitled for RM 15 discount per month, so only need to pay RM 105 for 225GB...

But when I see from DG website, DG120 only offers 105GB...

Is there some kind of tricks need to be done in order to get this kind of "offer"???
*
maybe its the more older Digi 120

I'm under my dad's Digi Postpaid 120 on 2019
Base plan of Digi Postpaid 120 on 2019 is 40GB and you can have three supplementary lines (RM38/line) enjoy same separated data / calls as the main line
thats means 120+(38*4)=RM234 for 40GB*4 = 160GB

and after that they upgraded 2 times 10GB in 2020 I get 60GB already
user posted image

and after that we signed RM8/month contract for 2 years (iPhone 6s)
I get an iPhone 6s , and my dad main line got doubled data , so 60GB x 2 = 120GB (only main line got doubled , supp remains 60GB)

And we requested to enable share data from main to supplementary lines (RM10 / month)
But for some reason we get a promo RM15 x 24 months

So at the end (2023 end contract already , 120GB remains)
we have 120GB+60GB*3=300GB and paying (RM120+RM10-RM15)+(RM38*3) = RM229
RM1 ~= 1.31GB

But sadly Digi don't want to enable 5G for these old plans , forcing us to upgrade if we want 5G

noticed that the 5g network is only 60mbps for me..in PJ area

pretty sure you are connected to LTE B28 instead of NR N78
Even when you are on LTE that act as Anchor Band for NR , most of the phone will show 5G directly , and fact is you actually still in their 4G network lol

during testing i never get speed more than 800Mbps for digi 5g. KL area btw

I get around 300Mbps - 1.3Gbps for 5G depends on location
And the coverage still quite spotty , not stable when moving around

Huh?
Like this also can..

So consider as "fake" 5G then??

No wonder many says why 5G speed slow like 4G 😂
*
Yes , this is NSA downside
But on Samsung devices can spot easily when you are connected to NSA NR / NSA LTE only
and DNB using B28 700MHz as LTE , the penetration is quite good and speed ok also
Hope they will enable another 20MHz for N28 or DSS N28 and L28 (but probably only on SA because currently no L28_N28 for NSA)

Hi folks please help. I have logged a report with DIGI and waiting.

Today I upgrade my prepaid plan from Digi 2017 to Digi Next. After I got sms for the upgrade, my WIFI calling no more working. I suspect VOLTE gone too, but my S23 Ultra has no setting for VOLTE only setting for WIFI Calling which is turned on.

I tried on and off and reboot, none works.

Anyone here have similar experience and know how to resolve it? Already I got emails from people failing to call me. I have no DIGI signal at home hence this WIFI calling is crucial.

call Digi to reactivate VoLTE

Currently on old Digi Postpaid 120 DS and Digi Postpaid Family 38
Both cannot activate 5G
Interesting that CMHK can roam Digi 5G

I have to use a foreign SIM to use Digi 5G because Digi doesn’t want to open 5G access to old plan

P/s : in integrated area eNB started with 88XXXX the speed and ping isn’t really stable , keep getting >100ms ping and inconstant speed

Maxis has began offering free 5G based on Fahmi guideline
When is Digi's turn? I'm still seeing RM10 for 5G in "Buy Add-on"

Don't tell me I have to switch to the newer package to get free 5G
The new package pricing is utterly ridiculous

RM40 minimum for family line
RM30 minimum for device SIM
*
The prices for new family lines offered by Digi are unreasonable, except when you opt for the plan that’s 160 and above, which offers a 50% discount.

The Digi Postpaid Family 38 plan still lacks 5G support. Moreover, Digi’s 4G network has worsened in the past few months following its merger with Celcom. Along the MRT, I experience 4G connectivity only about 30% of the time. Inside the tunnel, the service is hit or miss.

I am concerned about what CelcomDigi is doing post-merger, as there seems to be a significant drop in network quality

10Mhz is around 75mbps for 2T2R (2 transmitting from telco site and 2 receiving from ur phone) and 150mbps for 4T4R

Based on new celcomdigi site, you can archieve this easily.

Note: Like i comment before, it really depends on telco budget to setup the tower... it can be slow till 100mbps only for a tower (33mbps in inbuilding) or max till 600mbps...

I can achieve 600Mbps in the tunnel section of MRT Putrajaya Line with Digi
But it seems very unstable whereby sometimes it can be very fast and sometimes full bar 4G+ it wont load anything (< 100Kbps)

I've experienced an event whereby when my phone is connected to WiFi but the signal to nearest Telco was weak and showed No Service hence unable to make any phone call over WiFi.

VoWIFI still needs a signal connected to Telco Tower in order to make a phone call over WiFi.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
no, VoWiFi works even when you are in flight mode or totally no signal
Basically it uses the same technology as VoLTE (Both based on IMS)
What VoWiFi do is actually register the SIM card to telco's server and establish a IPSEC/IKEv2 connection between telco's server and user devices and transmit voice data via this tunnel

Digi allows overseas ASN / IP to register IMS so it works at overseas too
