I'm lucky enough that my "end-users" on Infinite150 are not gamers and streamers.

So far have never eached above 300GB usage, except that one month when I was busy consolidating all those phones, tablets, laptops, and *box*.com into onedrive.com

[Government Reconsidering DNB 5G Single Wholesale Network Model]
https://www.lowyat.net/2021/260462/governme...ing-dnb-5g-swn/

I think multi ways better, centralisation & decentralisation, both combined ways should be good for 5G development.
*
Zarfool debating Budget 2023: semua sarahan telco kerana melengah-lengahkan kesediaan 5G.

never put critical eggs in a single basket.

we need multiplayer for redundancy. this is critical infra. lives will literally depend on it. i don't think telco will invest into additional 4G footprint anymore after we cut off 3G end of this year. what's the point of boasting of cutting edge when a knife can't even function in the kitchen.

remember how many telcos were affected when TM's exchange in Seberang Perai caught fire?

This idiotic government just dont want to admit that previous government had the best package to launch the 5G... what they want in the eyes of the people is that having something unique than them without considering the consequences of being lagging behind than our neighbours... look at this now, they are reconsidering multiple operators!

this administration is really out of this world - but for all the wrong reasons.
disconnected from the ground.
true helangs.

imagine all the manpower they already poached for DNB, then suddenly announced want to rethink about the model they have committed to since last year.

while i disagree with single wholesale operator model for redundancy purpose, i pity those who must have skipped their heartbeat upon reading their employment is suddenly in jeopardy from flip-flops higher up.

If they shave away the postpaid way, adopt the prepaid way, save them the sst.

when government want to tax the same as postpaid, prepaid users flip table called it unfair, burdensome, etc etc.

bila kena engkau "adil", bila kena aku "tak adil".

it's the general taxpayers that eventually need to shoulder the slack in the wake of prepaid not paying SST. sibuk kutuk BR1M etc but similarly minta payung.

Not sure if it's too late to ask since my new SIM kad will be arriving today

What is the process of MNP again? My last MNP was 2 years ago so I forgot what are the steps for transitioning to another telco

In my case, it's Umobile to Digi
*
Settle any outstanding dues to existing provider.
If existing provider instead owes you, postpaid will refund, prepaid will burn. (Can I suggest you get another prepaid SIM and transfer prepaid balance to it, then use it to spend on app store later.)

Upon receiving your replacement SIM card from new provider, call new provider to kickstart MNP processing.

Wait for SMS (on your existing provider SIM) to confirm you want to port out. Yoodo will send to email instead.

Wait for "sorry to see leave" SMS from existing provider that they approved to let you go.

Usually when I see that "sorry to see you leave", usually MNP already almost done, I can already switch to new SIM.

Authentication services requiring SMS-based TAC might be temporarily disrupted. Believe it's due to banks sending to different SMS gateway depending on which provider you are using.

If you used postpaid with previous provider, make sure to follow up slightly after a 1Β½mth later to settle final bill issued after you left.

i believe now that 1st step is BETTER visit Digi Store and settle outstanding immediately before visit other Telco and apply Portout immediately.
my mistake in my case, i visit Maxis Store and apply MNP from Digi postpaid
Checking Digi app although show no outstanding amount....usually still final payment to settle

So after settle the outstanding, i have to reapply MNP again.
Today, i become Hotlink365....hahaha
*
If you have bill outstanding, of course will be blocked.

Celcom and Maxis not that fussy to let go when there is zero bill outstanding.

But Digi is bit particular; even with zero outstanding, still require you to pay 1mth upfront similar to rateplan you intended to terminate. so i guess they also want it when porting out.

Still, later go check last bill issued after you ported out. Don't end up in Court or telco blacklist for that oversight over meagre amount.

guys, im from other telco, if i port in to Digi,

do i need to change to digi sim card ?

(i intend to perform port in online, in that case, doesnt that mean i need to wait until digi send the sim card to me via courier??)

if like that, go to digi physical store faster right ? since i think can get the sim card immediately ady...
*
MNP processing only starts after you receive replacement SIM card.

we don't want you to lose connection for the rest of the 1 week while praying for GDEX J&T to not not fcuk the delivery while you are out incommunicado, riiiiight?

I need confirmation since this is my first time want to use phone + package

user posted image

is this how to calculate it?
Phone = RM191/month
Package = RM90/Month

So for 24 month I have to pay total of RM281 (exclude sst)
am I correct?

no upfront payment etc right?
seems phone price cheaper if buy like this
any recommendation or advice to me?
*
i had+have 2 of those digi device subscriptions.
your calculation is correct, before additional usage and SST.

no upfront payment if you use credit card (which, automatically be force-opted for monthly autodebit) to pay this order, OR, pay upfront for the phone equivalent to 12mth installments if pay using other methods. same whether online or in store.

upfront will be used to offset phone’s installment for the first 12mth, so you will only need to settle rateplan usage in the same period.

(my 1st device with digi avoided upfront eventhough using other payment method because of digi’s own online offer link. 2nd device also avoided eventhough using other methods as i walked-in to store and can’t remember how i ended up so, but at a higher cost of rateplan to compensate.)

edit:
(i am sorry. both device subscriptions has upfront payment. rechecked receipts.)

is there a contact if change plan?

if digi have been serving well at the places you haunt, contract or not shouldn't be an issue in exchange for better offer i.e extra data, free phone, .... you are not switching away after all, right?

My supplementary receive this. Does it mean it converts the supp line to a main line with contract?? Then what happen after 12 mths?? Increase price?
*
no need to convert to primary - the offer is to contract your supplementary line itself for the next 12mths in exchange for additional data.
anyway, if you have Internet Sharing, Supplementary start using its own quota only after it had spent its share from Primary. So contracting it out to increase its own quota might be for nothing if it cannot even finish its quota allocated from Primary.

oh ok noted with thanks ya sis...
i dig dig already...MySignal is not the insurance company haha..actually tied up with mobile plan + medical insurance = RM 98/mth la
so you subscribe to Digi plan at RM 98/mth then will have medical insurance coverage of RM 20K la..without have to pay for the insurance premium la...
but if you x byr mobile bill then x der coverage la...yg insurance tu dari Zurich Takaful...

interested dgn plan ni sbb x pyh byr extra untuk medical insurance...RM 98/mth untuk mobile plan + medical insurance...affordable la

Does Digi fully shutdown their 3G network? Or some places still up? Asked because there is no 3G info at all in Digi's coverage map
*
All telco were supposed to already shutdown all 3G sites by end of last year. Only delayed a bit due to the major flood. You shouldn't be expecting any more 3G almost 6 months after.
