Hi guys,
Had tried searching around but couldnt find anything on this subject. Basically I disposed my property end of last year and didnt apply the one time Tax Exemption for it. After deducting allowable expenses my RPGT was less than 3% of the selling price already remitted to LHDN. Already got the notification from LHDN end last year. The balance also shows up on the e-lejar on the ezHasil website.
I assumed that LHDN would wait for me to clear my Income Tax first before they process my refund so I just let it be first. However i have filed my e-BE in March and paid my excess tax immediately after filing but no news on the refund. Since it was MCO no one was there to answer my queries. Made a call once it was RMCO and was told to either write in our use their Maklumbalas website. I then filed my query on the website but till now nothing on that end either. Its been about 8 months already. Would probably make a trip to LHDN when time permits
Just wondering if any other forumers here have the same issue?

Honestly I am not sure the govt still has the money to refund after all those prihatin payment. Nevertheless you have to to visit them and follow up regularly from there.

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Jul 1 2020, 02:56 PM) Btw, you have the acknowledgement copy of the CKHT form submitted ? Yup, acknowledgement by LHDN of receipt of all related docs and cheque for the 3% payment remitance. I also have received the LHDN notification of my confirmed RPGT amount, the Tax schedule showing the calculation and the excess and also receipt of the 3% remittance. About a couple of months later the amount was also reflected in my e-lejar for 2019. I gave some allowance due to the MCO but this is kinda running late

Did you use a lawyer to submit your CKHT? Maybe they can add more advice for you.
Have you also received the Surat CKHT 13A / letter of confirmation from LHDN on the amount of RPGT to be refunded to you?
Please do visit the LHDN branch that you filed your CKHT. But please do go early as the line is still very long due to social distancing

My address and email is up to date, didnt receive any CKHT13A after that. But i did check my e-lejar on the Hasil website and the refund due is reflected there. I used the sellers lawyer since I was selling to a neighbour. They confirmed everything was filed and returned all correspondences from LHDN to me. Asking them anything would be next to useless, they're interested to serve the buyer and wasnt really accommodating to me. Thanks for the advice, yup looks like have to make a trek to LHDN office.

Yes, you have to make a trip to the filing branch of LHDN. You can try to meet the officer and explain that you are in tight cashflow due to MCO and plead to them to act quicker. Unfortunately, LHDN can have penalty on us for late payment but we cannot impose penalty to them for late refund.

I remember when I had to see the officer to present some docs to get my income tax refund many years back the officer actually said the same thing hahah, sorry for the delay and its unfair that we can penalise you but not vice versa Thanks for the tip!
