To everyone here and especially the TS

Would like to note that the TS of this forum made an additional cc product inclusion (The MBB Grab product was added on later) to this forum without notifying nor consulting the Mods here.
Noticed it from the beginning but gave opportunity to the TS to voluntarily communicate this action/come forward voluntarily but it did not happen.

TS for this thread would not be allowed to add additional cc product to existing thread and switch cc products from what already is. Same goes for opening a new thread topic in the cc section as this is the thread topic he/she will have ownership/accountability of unless he/she relinquish ownership this thread topic (and subsequent versions) and a successor has been found to take over. Will not allow this to be set as precedence to other existing or new TS.

We had in the past threads being largely dominated by certain TS thus members are deprived from opportunity to manage the thread that they like and contribute to the diversity and richness of this section. We have been encouraging ownership of threads to members through focused/single ownership/accountability of thread topics and this incident defeats that purpose.

Yup ... you got this point right.
TS need to be accountable for the content of the thread and we want everyone to participate in ownership. No to monopoly or hoarding the threads. (This used to happen long time ago) And I would like to point out, many TS applicants refuse/dread to agree on the accountability portion of the thread ownership which is the crucial portion of being a TS here. No cutting corners or compromise on accountability here.

OCBC thread is open for application (has always been) to interested parties. Any serious takers who wants to take up the challenge and accountability - please apply.

I have already explained to you via PM (also mentioned via a reply to a post) on how the thread ownership philosophy works here in this section. If you understand this, it would be very clear that multiple thread topics ownership is disallowed because it breaks the principle on providing equal opportunity to others.

If members do not stand up and volunteer their time and effort to manage their thread - how will the threads grow ?
And we want the thread to grow strong and solidly supported by an accountable TS.

To be open about things - we allow thread to open only after approval is obtained - however the sadukarzz open this thread without prior approval. Myself and bro Miles worked towards reaching out to him and sort this out instead of taking the consequence management approach. Not to be used as a precedence as we will close threads without approval.

Anyone here can ask sadukarzz whether he seek approval before opening this very thread in the first place.
Whether he was shaky about the accountability portion in the first place and right off wanting to pass the ownership/accountability to others in the beginning.

Irrespective of the excuse given at that point of time because the moment the thread is opened the accountability starts right away - no such thing to pause it because posts/replies are coming into the thread and TS would need to look into managing the thread content. That's why one of the reason we don't allow threads to be open right away if TS is not ready to carry that role for whatever reasons they have.


Hope this clears the air about thread ownership and accountability philosophy here in this section.

Warning : If you want to share, be direct and not post ambiguously. Else you don't post at all. Baiting like responses are not helpful nor welcomed here.

I was not very happy when TS added another product to the existing thread. I knew it will be a problem later when the card product gains popularity.
I would have preferred a slow and conventional organic growth as what bro @cybpsych mentioned. Allowing new card product when it has gained strength and enough traction - allowing it as a general product discussion before having its own thread. Maybe I should consider it for new cc products from hereon and also to have provisions for thread closure resulting from product discontinuation.

I let it proceed with a stern warning to TS, allowing the problem of 2 card products in one thread to materialise on its own + realisation from the members itself vs preemptively disagreeing with it which I will likely be misunderstood as overly exerting control in the forums.

Anyway ... to address the members query - you may approach the existing TS first on whether he/she willing to diverse this thread into 2 products before approaching me. This decision is up to the TS. As usual same rules/application applies to any new TS applicant as usual.
