It's been several months after my marriage and I met my midwife. She advised me to take folic acid though I don't expect baby soon. I told her about this. But she told me to have this continuously. Should I folic acid until I get pregnant even I don't except baby so soon? Is it okay?

Yes, can take prenatal vitamins as multivitamins - it already contain the required folic acid amount.

The prenatals are good for ladies to take if there is any chance that they will get pregnant. Often they find out around 3-6 weeks that they are pregnant, but the folic acid aids in the fetal development especially in the first couple of weeks after conception. If you don't take it, your baby will almost certainly still be fine though but it is good to try your best. Good luck to you.

Yes good to take folic acid.
If not, baby will have risk of cleft palate, a birth defect which later requires corrective surgery.

Hehe i also got to know about this only when i got pregnant. Im pregnant now <week28 and dr advised me to take folic acid 5mg when i first discovered of my pregnancy at 5weeks. Im still taking it now and apparently folic acid is also contained in the multivitamin pill which im taking now. Apparently they say its good to take the folic acid Daily even Before u plan to conceive. So no harm. Its just vitamins. And its cheap anyway.

My doctor prescribed me with folic acid first time I went to her clinic to O&G checkup as we're trying to conceive. After few weekd I found out I'm preggy.

In my marriage course last time, there was a doctor in one of the sessions. She advised best to take folic acid 3 months before you are expecting to get pregnant. Although we might not plan to have a baby, accidents might happen. Better be safe than sorry.

Yep, definitely recommended to take folic acid as early as 3 months prior to conception. Lowers risk of congenital defects.
Since you wont know when the pregnancy will happen always good to just take la.
