I've created this topic to list AMD/Nvidia GPU manufacturers that you should buy from if you are the type of person who wants to remove the heatsink to clean it or replace the heatsink with a liquid cooling waterblock
Also inside this topic is the list of AMD/Nvidia GPU manufacturers that you should avoid for the same reason as above
Included is a screenshot of my discussion with each manufacturers to ask where they stand on this matter

Important Note: This does not cover if you cause physical damage/water damage to the GPU

GPU Manufacturers You Should Buy From:
EVGA - Does not void warranty for removing the heatsink

Nice. Looks like got changes too. Galax and Leadtek used to allow removal of it for cleaning.

Depends on the type of heatsink & how dirty it is
If it needs a wash, I'll wash it too, just have to remove the fan first

Just checked in Lazada/Shopee, not a lot of sellers is selling EVGA graphic cards nowadays
Nevertheless, I've PM'ed them in Facebook, will post their reply in here once I got their answers

On a different note, I really wish some famous Malaysian YouTubers would bring this issue to public so lots more people will be aware about this and force the manufacturers to change their mind on allowing their customers to do whatever the hell they want with the product that they bought as long as there is no physical damage / water damage to it

read the topic title, thought it is in general
read the thread, realise that it is referred to the warranty as a result of custom cooling

i've been wandering about the implication of many Zotac RMA being listed despite the 5-year warranty provided

1. Can you please not quote the whole post? At least remove the images so your quote won't be too long
2. Why the judgement? I did say this list is about manufacturers who allow their users to remove the heatsink to clean it and replace it with liquid cooling waterblock

Still dont encourage others to do this. Once broken, they can give all sorts of excuses not to give RMA. Not much improvement anyway, just buy the best GPU in market. Judgement? Yes this is risky thing to do. Many burned their GPU this way.

Thanks for the initiative, bro. I used to own an Asus AMD Radeon HD7850 and they accept my rma due to some graphical glitches even though I opened the heatsink for repaste. Sad to know they no longer accept rma once heatsink removed.

Here's EVGA. Most manufacturers will state whether they allow water cooling modifications.

add warranty coverage details to it since you already made it this far.
1) duration
2) coverage type
3) link to local warranty terms

e.g.
for 2) after applying for extended warranty with zotac or gigabyte, the warranty is bound to a user, not the product.

for 3) warranty terms sometimes differ as you might figure when you check for zotacs official warranty terms; at least tell ppl that despite giving a thumbs up in a facebook reply, they still have the option to revert back to their official t&c and therefore refuse warranty, should they feel like.

after all its easy for them to see a different thermal paste/pad has been used or the user did a mistake during reassembly.
