Because you are subjecting the tyre with your car weight and air pressure. So unused tyre with correct storage is still practically new tyre, and u can get a good deal out of it. IINM unused tyre shelf life is 5-6 years I think. If u installed it within this period it will work as good as a newly manufactured tyre. I have bought a 3 y/o old stock tyres and found it as good as a a same year manufactured tyres. Its hard to find old stock tyre at right price, If the price is significantly lower then a same year tyre just grab it with no worries |
