Just want to ask, as an Intern in 2020, how much you expect to get paid per month for an Engineering Position?
I'm doing Electrical/Electronics. From what I survey from Jobstreet last time, most of them RM 500 in KL/Klang Valley for these positions.
Even Sony, Bangi offer this pricing blink.gif

Meanwhile those in Penang ones, all minimum RM 1,000 starting allowance. blink.gif

Anyhow, anyone got lubang for Electrical/Electronics Internship position let me know innocent.gif
I'm waiting for approval for my applications laugh.gif

I just did intern at ABB last year around 800. Texas Instrument is around 1.2k, Sony about 500. Got one small company pay around 300 only also got. cukur la not rm0

Intel penang 1.5k (highest i found), Microsemi also about 1k like that if not mistaken

Generally KL/Selangor area is about 500-1200
Whereas Penang higher, again this is very subjective. It depends on company.

Which division of ABB you worked for? My friend told me their Transmission Grid one sold off to Hitachi last year.
TI wise, I don't think they are hiring yet.
Sony is RM 500.

Btw so you are a fresh grad now? Or still progressing with Final Year?

blink.gif well, I did done my internship last year before.
I am just required to redo again for this year.

Of course it is important to see company work culture.
You know how hostile working in a company sit inside a cube for 9 to 10 hours without social interaction within your colleagues shocking.gif
Most importantly is there any useful skillsets to take away or applicable in other industry, and find a long term company to work in.

The review online says the working culture is "laborious", my offer letter states 8.30am-6.00pm, that's 1.5 hour more compared to the usual 8-5 jobs too.

Worst case for the reason for high intern allowance is they want those intern to do the job of a full time employed fresh graduate but pay them intern salary.

lol idk maybe, review online dont say much good stuff about this company, and heard that they always have vacancy on their website(mean that people always quit for some reason?)

Seems like good place for intern and fresh grad to gain experience though

I would say different company different experience but,
It would also depends on yourselves as well, comparing to some other companies, mine didn't have a proper program for internships, rather, it was my own initiative to go to other departments and learn different skills. Even if your smart and great and what you're doing, when you're the type that just waits for order, its kinda hard to learn much.

Just apply and go to any company, it might give a different perspective. Some applied for eng intern but last2 only did procument for 3 months.

Also, loved my intern place, as strict workload limit of 70%
that means I can go home early or take friday's off as well, never need to stay later than 5 unless got onsite work. If I did that, entitled to day off

Yeah, my first company too didn't really have a proper program for interns.
But sadly my first Internship was "too in depth" not a simple newcomer can pick up in a few months.
At the end didn't really learn that much sweat.gif
So basically changing department also didn't really helped.

I just wish to find a company that have similar offerings as yours.

Can use this as a gauge la but you have no idea which company you are going to end up in. Just go with the flow when you're starting out.

Now times are tough, our company already stop taking in interns this year.

Yeahhh , it would be the best if I can land into a company that could offer me an internship placement and land me a job after I graduate tho.
