The Prada is probably 5/6 years old. I just use it to store spare cards and cash.

YSL is maybe 3 months old which i carry daily.

Niakulah brand minimalist wallet. Haas Barenia leather. Hand stitched in linen thread. Each pocket can hold 3 cards and it stacks in such a way that the cards will not break when sitting on it (in back pocket).

Made it around August 2018 I think, so almost 2 years.

braun buffel wallet is always good for me. smile.gif

I have the brown one for few months. Only managed to get 10% discount that time.

And I bought the black and navy one today. (2nd item has 55% discount) and the departmental store give $20 voucher for $120 spent.

Effectively 34% discount for each one of them.

It is hard to see Braun Buffel gives big discount for their products. Mostly at most 10% for public. Member will get 15% normal day and 25% during birthday time.

Even those on big discount are mostly those off-Seasons and not sellable items. If popular models they will be sold out even before big discount comes in.

They are 10 cards wallets which are always my favourite styles as I have a lot of cards to put in. And this style will remain thin in pocket. I dun like those with coin compartment which will make the wallet bulky thus will not last.

I like this series because they are having two tones colour inside the wallet too. And the Braun Buffel logo is very rare to be in black colour. the texture of them is also my favourite. they are in hard leather too which is my only choice.

This series is always one year now and they will not be having new stocks anymore.

I could not find the blue one at the Braun Buffel own boutique, but luckily I managed to find them at a departmental and best part was that they gave extra $20 voucher which was even a better deal.

I like Kisetsu Kaizen alot.
Stunning raw crazy horse leather appearance.
Have 3 slots that fit in 2 cards each easily (maybe can 3 cards but yet to try).
1 of the 3 card slot has pull strap function.
And 1 fast draw card slots. (meaning 3 card slots + 1 fast draw card slot)
Have hidden slot for emergency cash/ ring/ cents.
I used it about 2 years before.
Cannot move on from this wallet and bought another 4 X Kisetsu Kaizen for collections.

So far, this is my all time best eventhough I possesses STR handmade wallet, Bellroy Note Sleeve Designer Edition, Onestar Leather 6 pocket vertical wallet, Bellroy Slim Sleeves.

This Kaizen looks like Bellroy Note Sleeve. Why do you prefer this over the Note Sleeve you have?

Bellroy Designer Edition has a very good leather. However maybe I prefer the leather that has some raw feeling when we touch them. The crazy horse leather have that feeling. The features maybe better than Bellroy. The cut edge like chamfer avoid wear and tear that normal wallets often have.

That is just my opinion.

Bellroy Note Sleeve Designer Edition is good too but much expensive

Look still good after 4 years. πŸ‘Œ
Eventhough i like Slim wallet with cards vertical placement more than Classic wallet, this one still looks good and steady.

I am suprised that many Ashland Leather fans here in Malaysia.

It is a good Leather company but I expect not many knows about them

Yeah, it's still in very good shape despite very little maintenance on it. It even still has that nice leather smell although not as strong as brand new. I use either chamberlain leather milk, Bick 4, or VSC on this (what products do you use on your wallets?).

I have the shell cordovan version of this wallet and a Tony the Ant in blue CXL as well but the latter is a little too thick so I only use it off and on.

I used to be a big fan of Ashland Leather because of their slightly more affordable price for Horween leather wallets but I realized that the workmanship leaves more to be desired. The finish is not as refined.

I am guilty of owning more wallets than I will ever need in my lifetime. Will post other wallets when I get the time smile.gif

Exactly. Ashland is famous because of their youtube exposure but I found out that they machine sewn instead of handstich and the edges are not refined like STR Handmade, Benjaminbott and monkmadegoods. I'm a fan of Horween Shell Cordovan especially the reversed side showing the stamp.

thanks

i just wanna say most designer wallets inner lining uses nylon as oppose to those independent artisans which will almost fully utilize leather
the nylon keeps the wallet profile slim and of course contribute to longevity in those areas (also hence why those artisan ones tend to be way bulkier)

This is why I rather spend money on those shell cordovan wallet rather than braun buffel at the same price point. Wouldn't say the same for those Prada, LV or Gucci, because that's purely buying the brand for some people.

Braun Buffel Card Holder

2 single card slots
1 ID window
1 gusseted compartment
1 note slot

Simple cardholder with a small note slot which is only great for smaller denominations. This one I abused quite a fair bit (been in the back pocket and sat on a lot, brought on hikes, runs, cycling, etc.) but still looks solid. I've had this piece for about 6 years or so.
