The general rule for buyer ... 'IF IN DOUBT, LOOK ELSEWHERE'
Having said the above, there are many reasons ...
1. Financial difficulty.
2. Divorce or Separation
3. Family dispute
4. Lousy neighbours
5. Safety
6. House structure problem
7. Migration
8. Environment issues relating to health ... smells, dirty, noise etc
9. Death / Haunted
10. Bogus agent ?
plus many others.
Agents or owner dont have to reveal the reasons for selling as the sale is on willing seller buyer basis. Even giving a reason can never be the TRUTH.
There is no agency in msia that provide such services for keeping history of a property except for structural issues where you can engage an architect or civil engineer.
BTW, what is the market rate and the selling price ?
Have you check brickz for past transaction records to confirm your doubt ?
Are you familiar with the prices if property there ?
