QUOTE(Jescon @ Jun 23 2020, 01:00 PM) I've been eyeing for a 1080p 24" monitor lately, and too many reviews have opt for the AOC 24G2 as the best choice in terms of colour production and overdrive performance. Personally, I think it only falls short in terms of viewing angles. So which 24inch did you get?

QUOTE(Jescon @ Jun 23 2020, 02:07 PM) I haven't purchased, just been eyeing - but I plan to buy the 24G2 end of July/August. Any personal preference why you pick AOC? Iโm still choosing ๐

QUOTE(precept66 @ Jun 23 2020, 02:20 PM) AOC 24G2 is a good consideration. Btw, I'm considering the 27G2 seriously. Never tried 27inch before. Scared if too big for me considering the distance

QUOTE(Jescon @ Jun 23 2020, 05:32 PM) 1) Price (in terms of IPS), 2) Freesync (I have an AMD GPU), 3) Adjustable stand, 4) Colour reproduction, 5) (MAYBE) G sync compatible via display port (27inch model is listed in Nvidia's website) I see, Iโm using rtx atm but still can enable the sync using nvdia control panel. My 1st option is the acer but no stock everywhere. I think gonna pick the asus after lot of research ๐

QUOTE(precept66 @ Jun 23 2020, 05:56 PM) I have the same thought as you back then with my 20" --> 24", many years ago. But then now, with all the media available online, feel the need from 24"--->27". Haha. Give it a good thought. I need to use the 27โ before buying. Scared ๐ฌ

QUOTE(precept66 @ Jun 23 2020, 10:37 PM) Scared what yo ? Go to IT centre and see yourself, then decide. Haha, I bet i will get different feeling when testing at IT because of the big space. Even 27โ will feel small haha ๐.

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Jun 23 2020, 11:55 PM) The AOC 24G2 since this is the only monitor out there that is reviewed by Hardware Unboxed I did some research that AOC 24g2 had terrible viewing angle especially from the owner of AOC 24g2 in reddit

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Jun 24 2020, 01:03 AM) It's 2k monitor but yea when gaming 2k looks better than 1080p I will go for 2k if Iโm upgrading to 27โ. For 24โ i think 1080p will be enough

QUOTE(Jescon @ Jun 24 2020, 08:56 AM) C'mon, share your reasons since I'm looking as well Iโm choosing acer because it is the cheapest ips monitor compare to those 2 monitors. And the spec is almost the same as asus. Iโm choosing asus over aoc because Iโm lil sucker for that brand and the price different just around rm30. Iโve some review on reddit that say aoc had poor view angle and bad ghosting when on low fps but some did not have any issues with their aoc. Thatโs why I asked for opinion here to get more clarification but itโs all end up to your own design preference because the specification almost identical

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jun 24 2020, 01:04 PM) I am also lookin for a 144hz 1080p monitor and many is directing to the AOC 24G2. Personally I don't think the viewing angle will be that much of a problem. Have you decided on which one and where did you plan to buy it? I think Iโm gonna go for Asus vg249q but will be in stock 1st week of July. The name of the store: Dell Exclusive Store located at lowyat. This is his number: +60 10-227 8481 -Ah Wei. Let me know which monitor you gonna get and please give your personal review after purchase

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jun 24 2020, 04:15 PM) I see, most sellers on Shopee/Lazada is selling >800. I suppose the warranty is 3 years right? Might go to lowyat and take a look at the monitors before buying. Yeap 3 years warranty. How much did you get for aoc?

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 24 2020, 04:22 PM) There shouldn't be any change of viewing distance if you switch from 24 inch to 27 inch You would only need to change your viewing distance if you go above 27 inch If 27โ preferably 2k reso means mo money ๐
. My budget around 1k monitor

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jun 24 2020, 04:25 PM) I haven't bought yet the AOC, but mostly seeing 799 now. Some selling 750 pre-MCO but now stocks are scarce. Btw both 24G2 and VG249Q using the same panel it seems. Yeap it came down which design you like the most because the price almost the same. I think wonโt regret buying either one. My piece of advice just follow your heart unless acer nitro xv240yp in stock ๐

QUOTE(melissaazevedo @ Jun 24 2020, 04:28 PM) I have been using Asus VZ 249 monitor for one and half year. I can recommend it for better performance and durability. Thatโs why Iโm going with asus as my 2nd option. Acer my 1st but currently no stock and a lot of store said they donno when supplier going to restock due to MCO
