not hyperdash, forgot the name of the motor, and not kidding when I say the plastic cap is orange color

Took me 2 months of my saving to buy the hyperdash motor. Then another few months to change the rubber tyres to those sponge ones with gear.

The torque tuned with the shaft on one end only I think

mine has always been the red colored hyper dash. back then it was the original one, didnt know it is now on the 3rd version

i remember those days. Owning a Tamiya is like owning Vios godcar.

People can see that you own a Tamiya because of the bumper: Auldey's will show white bending spots on the bumper frame below if your 4WD ram against the wall. Tamiya's would not show defects.

My family was only a lower middle class, and my late father could only afford to buy me an Auldey. It would take me an Aidilfitri celebration before I can afford a Tamiya by collecting duit rayas.

Man, I'm starting to miss going to school in the afternoons racing with other kids on the dual-lane longkangs. lol

I personally modify these motors. It's either you reduce the coil of the wire which allows it to go faster but heats up fast. Or;

Use thicker wires. You need soldering tools to make it work.

Look at that, Ultra Dash costs only 620yen. Thats like 30 ringgits max.

But i remember shops putting these motors in glass racks and selling these high end motors for over RM100. Fucking ripoffs.

4WD mode is slower than 2WD.

If it's a yellow cap, I assume you're referring to the 'Torque Tuned' motor.

Fastest motor back then were those Taiwanese motor. It cost about RM70 and it was damn fast.

The plastic body of Tamiya cars can't withstand the speed, so you need to install some metal plating.

Eh, got ma.. They provide the stock motor which was damn slow to begin with.

I paired the motor with duracell ultra batteries, damn fast when I played at my local mall even against a kid with the all black motor. From my experience battery > motor.

I think about 33.90? I was playing from 91-98. When I started it was 19.90, some old stock if you could find was 15.90. When I stopped it was getting crazy, about 44.90.
