You still get to keep the router as it's included in the RM500. At least the losses in minimal.

dumb plan,

they should do a plan without device
*
Nope it's not. Very valuable and smart plan.

The Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus 60 plan is already worth RM60 per month that comes with UNLIMITED calls and SMS. On top of that you get 10GB data + 10GB Youtube each month.

https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/plan/hotlink-postpaid/

Just add another RM39 you can already get a Maxis Home Fibre symmetrical 30M plan which is a steal.

This is one of the best selling fixed line and mobile bundle plan in Malaysia. Good for bachelors and small families that works from home.

All together you get a Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus 60 plan and Maxis Home Fibre 30 for just around RM105 a month including 6% SST all under 1 single bill. That covers both your mobile plan and home fixed fibre needs.

Don't know man....I was doing speedtest just now. All of sudden the LOS light is blinking
*
LOS = Loss of Signal

When this error light comes on it's almost certain cable got cut/fractured, connector snapped or OLT broke down(very rare).

Yesterday first time happen. Reboot for the first time it was fine, after a while it goes back to red again. Then wait for about 1 hour more the internet is up again weird...
*
Usually this is due to your PPPoE connection settings in your router not set correctly.

It's either set to "Connect on demand" or with a "Disconnect on idle for X mins/hours".
Please check if yours is set to "Always Connected".

Also if everything is fine on your end, your ISP may be doing maintenance its server side which is involved in accounts authentication/provisioning.

*
Have you check the WAN settings in your router's configuration page? If you're unsure how to do it, better call your agent to come and check the settings to rectify it.

Does this happen every time after a few hours or random?

The internet icon turns red whenever your internet account gets disconnected. It stays red that way if it can't reconnect back or the ISP server does not authenticate you back again.

I didn't do the setup, the installer help to do the setup.

Just yesterday midnight only happen 1st times. After wait for hour the internet is up again. Today whole afternoon didn't have any problem. Like you said maybe they are doing maintenance in the midnight.
*
Ah, if like that that means their side is doing server maintenance works.

Even my Maxis line the the internet red light will appear at least once every 1-2 months for scheduled maintenance. I usually turn off both my modem/router to let them rest when I see this and go straight to sleep. Tomorrow morning all will be fine when I turn it on again.

New backdoor government suddenly forgotten about the HSBB and National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP) and lost focus on keeping up with laying fibres already.

Now they blindly shifted their attention more towards 5G instead but unaware that you need extensive fiberisation to realize it.

I'm not surprised that many of our MCMC ministers do not come from technical background so they have no idea what they're talking about all the time. They usually sub out the proposal to professional bodies and consultants who are only interested in making fast buck.

Actually dave99021, based to my surveilling in Menglembu rollout, Allo used the mixture of existing electricity poles and newly lay poles (those with purple box paint).
[attachmentid=10578460]

Ps - will scout at PMU Gopeng Road soon
*
From what I have noticed, the FDP boxes where the final stretch of drop fibre goes into the customer homes are placed on new poles behind the rows of link homes. They won't use TM's telephone poles.

Only bangalows and semi-D homes which do not have space for new poles, TNB will have no choice but to use existing utility poles to place the FDPs which are normally located in front of the houses along the road.

Actually it is not needed, at their portal page they did not process the payment yet. I can check the outstanding is still there. So thats why I ask if any of you guys encounter this problem? Or is it just me?
*
Always take screenshots of the finalized transaction/payment receipt page including its transaction number and details. then store it safely on some portable drive/thumb drive so that you can have a peace of mind that your payment was transacted successfully. For businesses, they even go to the extend of even printing it out in hard copy to file them up.

If they ever cut of your line or say you never pay/made late payment, there's always evidence to prove your part to sue or shoot them back.

True, but there are 2 type of new poles tat was put up. The 1 tat you saw at FDP (mostly) are thinner version as it avoid using T× poles. If the cable passing some area that have no electricity pole, a bigger 1 is put in place and if the electricity poles too crowded, they too will put up new poles (most noticeable my house area - Tmn Sri Intan and Tmn Rasi).

[attachmentid=10579446]
Thinner version

[attachmentid=10579447]
Bigger version aka electricity type poles
*
Bigger poles for carrying lead or main trunk/backhaul cables to FDC (roadside cabinets) back to exchanges?

Possible to share which taman is that?

Your taman already got Unifi serving the area? If got, almost unlikely Allo won't be coming.

The lucky ones are those probably don't have both yet then Allo decides to cover there who knows TM also kiasu end up you get double coverage by both companies. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Jasilu90 @ Sep 11 2020, 12:07 PM)
They use same line (allo), but maxis has provided you another 4G maxis sim card to you for backup, when allo line down, you still can use maxis 4G.

Of course, maxis plan will higher than CBB cos include phone call and 4G sim cards
*
That plan you're referring to is called MaxisONe Prime Unlimited Postpaid & Fibre bundle plan.
It's is among the industry's most expensive plan you need to subscribe minimum a Maxis Postpaid plan which starts at RM98 monthly and top it with Maxis Fiber also RM89.Both add up at least RM187 per month minus SST.

The better offer is Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre bundle.
For Rm99 per month in 1 single bill you get a Hotlink Postpaid line worth RM60 and also Maxis Home Fiber 30Mbps.But 30Mbps for that price compared to CB you can already get 100Mbps symmetrical..

No, as I know, maxis fibre will provide a 4G SIM card and 4G router
also (not for phone data plan) , that means only pay the maxis fibre plan
*
The reason why Maxis leased the unlimited 4G SIM and dongle for their own routers few months back was because of the MCO lockdown period. Back then the fibre installers were not able to visit the subscribers premises to install the lines so it was used as a temporary backup.

When the MCO ended, after the customer's premises have been installed with fibre they are required to return the dongle along with the unlimited Maxis SIM unless you're a MaxisONE Prime customer then you get to keep it.

no wo, my company is using maxis fibre,
Install last year one, also will provide one 4G sim
Card
*
That is Maxis Business Fibre, they'll provide a different router usually the Aminia MA131 which comes built in with a SIM slot.

Maxis standalone Home Fibre plans do not enjoy this backup option unless you're a MaxisONE Prime account.

My office is also using this Aminia router which also has a backup SIM but the mobile backup link is usually very weak because it will connect to Band 7 which operates at 2600MHz which has very weak indoor coverage.

Suddenly TM increased their effort to expand their HSBB network in Ipoh and put priority to maintain the performance of their network.

Now they're even using high quality Nokia ONTs(fibre modem) around Ipoh CBD area for business premises around Jalan Pasir Putih.

This one is their latest Nokia fibre modem which is just released August 2020 last month:

How good is this Nokia ONT though?
*
Nokia bought over Alcatel Lucent Optical networking division few years back. Now all their products under Nokia brand name.

Google Fiber uses Nokia OLTs FYI.

For home users, TM still uses Huawei equipment widely.

Isn't TMN Arkid already have TNB Allo, TX still can overlap?
*
TM kiasu they don't want to lose marketshare in that area that's why proceeding to expand their coverage there? laugh.gif

Earlier why Allo covered the area because neglected by them for years. So it's not TNB Allo's bad planning but TM who wants to take risk to retain customers in that area.

TNB Allo should from now adopt policy to expand their network to any nearby areas with high demand and request for their services and compete directly with TM HSBB even if it takes to overlap.

I already did mentioned that for healthy competition to take place there should be AT LEAST 2 competing fixed line fibre infra in each housing estate/area like in Thailand where they got over 5 fixed line providers that serve landed homes.
