Yeah man. I guess Ill just go for it. DIY is fine for my house (hang tv, hang shoe racks) but for something as important as car tires? Id rather just let them do it for me

Paint as in spray paint? Or powder coating? I think the latter more durable.

If you want to keep it sturdy
Powder coating + Oven Bake
last much much longer than painting

How long will this usually take? If it is not worth it I dont want to do, as in I want it to last long. It is original rims afterall... Is RM600 too low?

It looks quite good, but definitely we have different taste, cos i am not a fan of black rim. I just feel something is missing if i look at my car with black rim. laugh.gif

Glossy black for interior is okay.

As for the rims, I think Matt Black looks better on rims over Glossy Black

Back in 2005, my 4 rims did powder coated for RM200

I doubt spray can withstand the heat

New rims now cheap like shit. For 15" though

TBH I think 600 is only for normal painting

Powder coating last much much longer

If u ever had a watch that is coated with pvd coating (black in colour)
then u'll know how long it last

But painting is good enough, as long as the final coating is using 2k and branded (glasurit), all is gud
and tyres have bead/sidewall that goes over the rim, so it protects it

Yeah I think it is only for painting. if the shop offers PC or RM1k I might just take it, we will see for the time being. I want to spend smart, if adding just RM400 and I can get a much better option in the form of PC, why not? Not like I am going to paint it everyday hahaha

Yeah man, for something like wheels and tires, I will not cheapen out.. either RM30k for the BMW 795M or I just powdercoat my 790M wheels.

I can't afford this bad boy. RM30k bro, I can buy a lot of things with that. Here is the BMW 795M in black, on a Sunset Orange car.

Btw, is that matte black or gun... gunsmith? gunmetal?

Dunno but if I know my colours, gunmetal is a bit greyish dark
Not truly black
