Is your VPN causing this to happen too often when trying to access those sites in question? Google will detect unusual high traffic originating from your VPN server and demands that you prove yourself to be human.
Even unusual high pings will trigger this response.

I suggest you ditch your VPN because there's too many user on their servers already or there're many spam reports originating from their IPs. Try another server or change VPN provider.
