benq xl2411z, hdmi 2.0 can't achieve 144hz

hi guys, my monitor benq xl2411z can achieve 144hz using dvi cable only. sadly it does not have a display port. i bought a hdmi 2.0 thinking i can achieve 144hz because my current gpu zotac 2070 super does not have dvi port. once plugged in the hdmi 2.0, still can't achieve 144hz. any reason why? am i missing something?

since our monitor is only on 1080p. let me buy the converter and test it out. will update here if possible to get 144hz! |
