QUOTE(Patent @ Nov 24 2020, 10:53 AM) Agree. Typing makes me very happy now. Only wish they have a smaller layout like Leopold FC980M (still need numpad for work purpose). Seems like it's not easy to find Leopold FC980M with blue switches, so I got the Filco instead. |

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Nov 27 2020, 08:12 PM) Hi, it's been a long time and I kinda lost track to whatever mechanical keyboard related things/news. Seems these 2 sellers still got Filcos. Second seller seems to have full size only though. Is there still any local seller bringing in Filco keyboards? A legit distributor/seller with valid warranty coverage is more preferable. Otherwise I will just buy it from Amazon instead. I'm looking for a new one, Filco TKL with ANSI layout. Thank you. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...878219&hl=Filco https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3191944/+140 |

Anyone interested with the Drop ENTR keyboard + Sennheiser PC37X bundle at 150 USD? I'm interested with the headphone, so if anyone wants to split half with me and get the keyboard, please let me know. Thanks!

Does anyone know where can I test a Leopold in KL/Selangor? Went to a few stores recently, but all Logitech, Razer and Corsair. Even HyperX also in box, no display unit.

QUOTE(horns @ Dec 4 2020, 10:48 PM) right. if you have tried units from logitech, razer, and corsair, i think you will tell the differences immediately. After try all the Logitech/Razer/Corsair, I can see why Filco is(or was) revered among the mkb community.alternatively, you should try out varmilo or filco also, if you can find one on display. however, i think leopold has more values than varmilo the last time i checked. (leopold's pd edition have the thick 1.5mm double-shot pbt) Surprisingly the majority of the gaming kb on display are using blue switches, so it was easier to compare with my blue switch filco. I've heard good things about Varmilo, but I'm looking for the 1800 layout, which only Leopold has as far as Im aware. |

QUOTE(krayden @ Dec 4 2020, 11:25 PM) Here got. Looks ok for the price but I doubt is Leopold level. Interesting layout. But the arrow and num keys are joined together with the rest of the keys. I wonder how's the typing experience like.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/epomak...y&term=Epomaker Archiss is another option, but im not sure worth the price to bring in from japan or not. Not many reviews and info. This post has been edited by danny_sp15: Dec 5 2020, 12:32 AM |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Dec 7 2020, 10:10 AM) Canonkeys posted a sneak peek of a new F-Rowless 1800 called the Balance: Looks beautiful, but seems to be a kit? Or will it be sold as a complete keyboard? Either way it looks like something I cannot get my finance minister to approve. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/823795777 My wallet hurts just looking at it [attachmentid=10714423] Oh and just FYI but the Epomaker there is a 96% which is a distinctly different layout from the 1800 you are looking for. |

![]() Just sharing new keyboard bought for wifey. She loves it. But i find it to be a bit mushy (if that's the right word), maybe because of the padding they advertised. Otherwise for the price it has more features than my filco and same if not better build quality. |

Hi guys.
I'm planning to get a 60-65% keyboard, currently looking at Tecware B68 as it comes with Gateron yellow and is hot swappable. Not really planning to swap switches for now, but will be convenient as I plan to learn to lube the switches and maybe mod the stabilizers. Also considering the Anne Pro 2 and Keychron K6. Any thoughts on the choices above? Or any other recommendations? My criteria is just 60% or 65% layout with linears. Doesnt matter wired/wireless or rgb. Thanks in advance! QUOTE(horns @ Aug 24 2021, 02:01 PM) in a nutshell, this hobby is about exploring options based on own preferences, so as to achieve the best typing experience that your boards can bring to yourself. I absolutely forgot about the pins and the keycap compatibility. Luckily i check back the Tecware B68 actually has 5 pin sockets, but with 3 pin gaterons. Keycaps might still be an issue I guess, as I do plan to change keycaps in future.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks for the advise. Now I know a bit more on things to look for. This post has been edited by danny_sp15: Aug 24 2021, 03:34 PM |

![]() Tecware B68 finally arrived! Originally thought of moving to TKL but the pre-order shipped much earlier than expected, so didn't manage to cancel in time. No regrets though. I dont have much experience with mechanical keyboards but this is easily my favourite among the ones I had. Like horns said, keycaps may be an issue, and true enough not many option for keycaps set with the right size for the right sided Alt/Fn/Ctrl/Shift. Luckily some brands like Akko have these sizes. horns liked this post

QUOTE(Dusple @ Aug 26 2021, 04:23 PM) How much did you spend to get this kb and which switch you chose? This is about rm228 after 10% cashback. I chose gateron yellows (smd) as I heard they're pretty smooth, but since my work involves a lot of pressing Ctrl, my pinky is sore already cos not used to the weight. Maybe should have gone with gateron reds.Previously i was looking for a smaller kb as I was trying to move from full size then to TKL and something even smaller than that I wasn't aware that tecware has 65% keyboard until few days ago lmao, since their popular and probably more famous products are their phantom series kb At first I was thinking about getting something from royal kludge since it isn't that bad for the price but then ended buying epomaker ep84, quite decent for the price too, only changed the spacebar stabs since somehow all of the stabs were came factory lubed but the spacebar stabs still feel super rattly and the sound cant even be covered by the sound of kailh box white Other than that they're pretty great. After lube feel so damn nice, although i think i overlubed cos damn hard to see the lube on the milky bottom switch. The stabs are prelubed, no hook/fang thingy at the bottom so i think no need to clip it off. Braided usb C cable. Keycap and switch puller (the proper metal type). Only downside is the led isnt that bright. Havent tried the bluetooth connection so cant comment on that. Edit: they don't have gateron reds. Only yellow and black. QUOTE(Dusple @ Aug 26 2021, 05:56 PM) Only 228 sounds after cashback sounds really tempting tbh, I rmb it has hot swap pcb right? Maybe you can try akko vintage white switch for ctrl key if you feel gateron yellow is too heavy Yeah it comes with hot swap pcb.I just got my hands on akko vintage switches and after lubing they feel really smooth, only 36g for their actuation force, probably one of the lightest you can get on market Quite cheap also, you can find those shop that sell them separately instead of in one box on shopee I'll try to get used to it first. If cannot then i guess I'll get a single switch. I see shopee seller some even sell just the springs. Thanks for the recommendation! |

QUOTE(horns @ Aug 26 2021, 09:15 PM) here is the list of builders who might be able to help you out, https://www.facebook.com/groups/MYMECHMARKE...79389625627322/ Yeah, i was also thinking to just try it out first. Or at least wait until want to buy other things then can add that single switch just to try. At the moment to just order a single switch i feel bad for the seller. Hahagat yellow is comfortable for most people. just use it for a week first. i think you will get used to it. yes, you can just get some lighter ones, and replace them right away (the immediate convenience of switch hot-swapping) |

QUOTE(red streak @ Aug 27 2021, 02:25 PM) New Akko Midnight finally arrived from Chaiina. Looks nice! How much did you pay for this set?![]() Not sure which board to put this on yet. Was originally thinking of putting this on the Keychron but there's so many extra keycaps just sitting there doing nothing |
