QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Nov 13 2020, 10:31 AM) Is this ok ah? Wanna get something to start with before putting RM500+ into Leopold or equivalent. https://shopee.com.my/Royal-Kludge-RK960-Du...5676.4541759179I have the RK71 and so far, for me, pretty good for entry level mkb. I got the RK71 to test out before deciding if I wanted to drop more money into other mkbs too.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Nov 13 2020, 11:16 AM) can change keycaps right? Can. It is a mkb, after all. Not sure about the typewriter keycap model you linked though but RK64 and RK71 can swap keycaps.

QUOTE(bibirbieber @ Jan 13 2021, 03:29 PM) Hi all. I don't know if I'm in the right channel to ask about this or not. I'm planning to buy pre-build / custom 65% silent mechanical keyboard for my office usage. I prefer wireless keyboard as well. I don't know where I can order for the custom board in malaysia that provide warranty. I checked keychron official websites and the price include shipping is very reasonable but I dont know how to claim warranty if there are any issues with the keyboard in future. Can sensei2 here help me with this? There is an authorised Malaysian retailer for Keychron, i.e. Keybot. They are available on Shopee and has a page on IG and Facebook. Maybe you could ask them about the warranty part.

Hi, I hope the sifus here can help me with my search for silent tactile switches. I have tried my friend's zilent switches and I like the bump on those switches. But I have also read that u4 switches are even better than zilent. What say you, sifus? Or is there any other switches out there that you would recommend for silent tactiles?

QUOTE(niakulah @ Feb 5 2021, 02:26 PM) Gazzew Boba U4 is a relatively new switch, there won't be many people who have tried it. But the reviews of it have been superb. It's relatively cheap so why don't you buy a few pieces to try? I'm thinking of getting some U4T switches myself. My experience with Aliaz has put me off silent tactiles. What happened to you with Aliaz switches? U4T is the normal tactile switch, whereas U4 is the silent tactile, right?

QUOTE(horns @ Feb 5 2021, 02:51 PM) you should also post this at mymkb fb page to get better feedback. maybe they can provide better comparisons with switches that you already have. if you have a hot-swap board, the even better way to find out if you liked it is to try it out yourself. get a small amount first. if it's ok then get more. Yeah, I think I will try to get some from aliexpress and see how it goes. I'm sad that I can't read chinese and get some good finds for this hobby from Taobao.

QUOTE(apamise @ Feb 25 2021, 03:48 PM) Read a lot of reviews saying the keycaps are terrible and the switches are basic. So as long I replace the keycaps and switches with something better, Keychron K6 can actually be good? Yes. I started with K6 as well. Mod the stabs, changed the switches to lubed and filmed gateron milky yellow (bought the gateron browns and lubed them but wanted to try linears too) and using Metropolis-clone keycaps. It's a great board to start with if you are just getting into the hobby.
