Hi, it's been a long time and I kinda lost track to whatever mechanical keyboard related things/news.
Is there still any local seller bringing in Filco keyboards? A legit distributor/seller with valid warranty coverage is more preferable. Otherwise I will just buy it from Amazon instead. I'm looking for a new one, Filco TKL with ANSI layout. Thank you. |

Hi, I'm currently planning to go for SA keycap but I'm wondering whether SA keycap is good for gaming or not? I just love the way SA looks.
Thank in advance as always. This post has been edited by youngy: Nov 28 2020, 11:26 AM |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Nov 27 2020, 08:18 AM) Thanks, but the place I'm using doesn't cut metal. I mean it does cut them manually with power tools, just not from a CAD file. well, good luck, and have a lot of fun Well I've done a lot more research, as I am wont to do, and it appears that most people have at least 5mm of empty space under the PCB. I kinda over-engineered my board because I'm a bit paranoid since I'm using 2x1.5mm acrylic plates. Most designers who go full acrylic go for full 5mm plates. Or they go with POM or PC or FR4 or fall back to metals. So I made sure things were more supported underneath with a slot to put foam that will push up against the PCB. Well I will redo the whole thing with bigger bevels to cover the ports, more rounded corners (I just realized most people also round their internal corners), and a big clean empty space under the PCB. i don't wanna go into this route. yet. it takes time and efforts to do research, test, and all. even if it's just a simple design. furthermore, i like metal cases. it's not economically viable imo |

QUOTE(Chryos1029 @ Nov 27 2020, 10:47 AM) My first venture into Alice-style layout keyboard! Very interesting. I'm not able to find anything on the Lumos. Do you have a link? This is Lumos, which is a clone based off of Alice, trying to adapt to the so called more "ergo" layout now Has SP-Star Grey installed and it's a lot better in regards to what I previously thought of, especially considering the relatively low price when compared to Gateron Inks etc.. ![]() QUOTE(horns @ Nov 28 2020, 10:44 PM) well, good luck, and have a lot of fun I will! The journey is of course the best part. I am seriously doubtful if I will be able to stay away after I achieve this so called "endgame". I will probably unsubscribe from this thread and r/mk r/mm and all. Don't know if that will work or I will get withdrawal symptoms. Lol.i don't wanna go into this route. yet. it takes time and efforts to do research, test, and all. even if it's just a simple design. furthermore, i like metal cases. it's not economically viable imo |

Do you have a link? yeah it's always about the journey, and outcomes of our ways of doing stuff to achieve what we want in our builds I will! The journey is of course the best part. Don't know if that will work or I will get withdrawal symptoms. Lol. well, it's a hobby. you stop when you wanna stop, and resume when you want to resume. for now, i really just collect parts, and make reference builds when i want to. i don't have the urge to chase after kits/caps anymore. it's still fun for me to take my time to experiment with new parts and all, and fix whatever i have done wrongly in previous builds hahaha |

QUOTE(lotiman2003 @ Nov 30 2020, 06:21 PM) I understand. There should always be a limit. What I'm saying is, at rm400 better get a Leopold TKL (rm489) or Ducky SF (rm449) and you will have 180% better product minus the RGB on the Leopold. Maybe next time. Honestly not much diff between rm209 Tecware Phantom elite and HyperX especially if you lube. |

The tecware has better keycaps IMO. Too bad I only saw this post after I bought the KB. Anyone interested with the Drop ENTR keyboard + Sennheiser PC37X bundle at 150 USD? I'm interested with the headphone, so if anyone wants to split half with me and get the keyboard, please let me know. Thanks!
