oh no wonder.
Because i checked Shopee, the brands that was named just now - Leopold and etc, you need at least RM500 to even get one. That's actually a lot of money for something you don't use much unless you are enthusiast.

I would think that those people who work in fields that require so much typing would enjoy it a lot.

Depends on your priorities. I don't mind dropping RM1k+ each on multiple pairs of leather shoes for the office, because I know I will use each pair every single week. But ask me to spend RM300+ on just a single pair of casual shoes for the weekend and I will usually balk.

But I know some people who will use the same pair of Bata 5 days a week and Yeezys 2 days on the weekend. unsure.gif rolleyes.gif

I am looking at Leopold right now in Shopee at PcByte. Looks good.
Some of the colours are very enticing but impractical cause I will go crazy if it turns dirty. xD

yeah, it's still cheaper to get leopold at shopee or local shops, compared to else where.

the key caps are thick double-shot. they are very durable for normal typing use case, and their legends will never fade away. you can always clean them up with soap and water from time to time. that's how we maintain our sets to always look new smile.gif

edit: if you're interested in learning more about tuning a leopold, i can tell you this: it can still be tuned to get to its full potentials. for now, just use it as is first smile.gif

being able to change the key caps seems very enticing indeed.

You can customise your keycaps for most mechanical keyboards (except low profile or some weird shit switches like Romer-G or ALPS or Kailh Choc), heck, even some mecha-membrane uses Cherry style keycaps and allows keycap changing/customisation too.

ok haha

key caps is a part of mkb that affects typing sound and feel. there are different key caps out there, which have different profiles, made with different materials, thickness, printing technologies, number of supported keys, looks, colorways, and price tags.

it's really up to you to explore your options haha

Don't really fancy Cooler Master for the price. Tecware Phantom Elite + Gateron Yellow is a very good combo for linear and budget and hard to beat since it's feature packed and affordable. But you can choose brown since you want em. Not something I enjoy. Got better tactile switch than brown though.

They look like standard keycaps to me imo. Tecware confirm standard ANSI

I'm using a RK988 full size keyboard with black switch if you want 3rd option. Very sleek and minimal look as compared to the 2 boards you mentioned and got brown switch too but this keyboard is very basic barebone "keyboard only". I bought it mainly for wireless bluetooth. Other than that it's a basic Single LED backlit keeb

yes, try repair first. for most mkbs, usually it's replacement of faulty components, and it will work fine again.

uh? just wait for it? normally you shouldn't do anything, and the courier will send it to your designated address.

nope. it's a commercial board. everything is already included in the package. however, you can still diy for both top plate + pcb, and pcb + bottom housing.

partially, especially the area between top plate and pcb. previously quovadis123 posted the details of a disassembled fc750r, https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94630141

that's why the custom foam mod by ourselves are actually much more complete than leopold's.

i will start preparing for my next reference build soon, using leopold's sp-star grey, kelowna switch films, and 63.5g springs from everglide in terms of switches. sp-star grey is a good alternative to cherry mx linear.
