Thats really nice packaging

I think so far only Gateron took the initiative to package them so nice and free the acrylic tray holder.

Akko switch packaging also not bad but Gateron packaging feels more premium.

getting use to the new keyboard ... sweat.gif it is a bit longer and feel a bit diff since have been with my rk61 for almost a year already.
switching from my frankenswitch to the Harimau switch ... seems like the switch is softer then my previous maybe because the previous has a double spring and a longer stem.

Just one rant about the harimau switch ... the quality would be better since the pin is so damn fragile and i did bend a few when trying to replace the or switch rclxub.gif
a funny story the no 1 key i cant get the harimau switch to fit but can get others to fit in rclxub.gif sweat.gif so in the end i use panda switches on the numeric keys. Heck i swap almost all switches that i have in hand can fit but not the harimau one ????

overall the sound of the keyboard is awesome to my liking out of the box rclxm9.gif
no other mod yet though ...

will share the noise it makes soon hahaha

yes, in general, if both have similar bottom-out spring weights, linear rated springs are relatively 'softer' than 2-stage springs. you can check out the force curve diagram at sprit designs for that.

still not sure what exactly do you mean by harimau switch not fitting for that 1 key.

a good explanation as always from your side notworthy.gif

well the switch cant fit permanently it will come off if u pull a bit on the keycaps rclxub.gif but then if i use others switch that i have with me it wont come off easy sweat.gif
i have tried with boba, panda, emerald and even my frankenswitch whistling.gif

(the no 1 key of the numeric keys .. next to the esc key)

another thing about this keebs is most of the keys are south facing except for the numeric is north facing ..not sure why also

Have you tried other Harimau switches on that same spot? Maybe the one you tried, the part that clips into the plate has broken/worn? It could be the plate though, in which case, probably keep using your different switch.

not what i was asking but kinda nice. i might change my configuration and get this instead. however, spec sheet doesn't say anything about nkro.

some kb only has this feature in wired mode so i have to make sure.

thanks a lot.

I have some boards where the esc and 1 is north facing to make space for the usb port.

Here's a long shot for your number 1 harimau problem, try clipping the legs off one harimau to make it a 3pin. I previously had that problem with Nightwalker switches where most wont fit in a mojo. Every other switch i had fit np.

4000 battery should last 3days on 2.4 with 3hrs gaming use per day + another 4hrs just surfing. Nkro, your choice of silent switch. North facing, so non cherry keycaps unless you get ttc frozen which looks like long pole (i havent tested on cherry profile yet).

I have an ik75 which is like a 75 version of that. Can fps game on 2.4 and 8000 battery last last a week b4 the low batt warning comes out. Other than not having via support its been working welll for 2 months or so.

The 2 small plastic legs under the switch. Turn it from a 5pin to a 3pin.
I dunno ah, just a possibility that the 2 holes in the pcb where these 2 legs go into might be too small. I also assume you're using a plate so the 3pin should be ok. Try at your own risk.

I notice that the TH66 is type of hybrid gasket. What does it mean?

according to the website it uses the gasket mount and also the plate screw ... i havent open up the case yet maybe later after a few months i will do some mod inside the casing sweat.gif
as of now the sound it makes just nice for a guy who like loud typing sound hahaha

QUOTE
It adopts the gaskets on the edges of the bottom case as the main contact point, which is to bring soft tactile feelings and quieter sounds. Meanwhile, a few screws are used to secure the plate and the PCB to eliminate the common complaint of using a traditional gasket mounting keyboard - lacking support in the central typing area and instability when typing hard.
