The higher the price, the better the quality and features.
Unless u r a pro photographer, just get the normal digital camera will do. Good luck. |

Around RM500~RM700 will do. I've read a http://photographworks.wordpress.com/, it teach how to value the features of different camera, then go to nikon website to read the features between the two cameras, but seems L11 features better than S200, the only good of S200 is size and weight.
I need those expert advice before i buy it, since i need to catch photo during my flower arrangement lesson. |

you should buy a camera that has either IS or usable high iso fuji f20/30/31.
both models you mentioned dont have IS. |

thanks 'artificial stupid' for teaching me a new method to value compact digital camera, i've found article from http://www.dpreview.com/articles/compactcamerahighiso/, quote"Small sensor compacts, by comparison, tend only to be able to produce low noise images at their very lowest ISO setting (usually ISO 50-100). At any higher setting noise becomes very intrusive and once you get to ISO 400 or higher the results are so noisy that they are only suitable for very small prints"
Now i'm confused, what should i do Added on August 5, 2007, 1:29 amhey ryan(or any sifus who can answer me), how much is the market price for lumix fx10 now? how much is the battery, long lasting or not, how many pic shot per battery charge, is the type of battery easily assessed? wat sort of memory cards, up to how many GB can the camera afford, normally free memory card during purchase or have to buy separately? thank you thank you so.................much for your information................. i read from flyers, the shop at kajang town, how to compare,i've no idea, i think the most important thing is the picture quality? sometimes the different screens, different iso, different lenses, length of it,processors...................also affect the price. These technical stuffs i know only a little............if u wana know more, refer to my post on 4 AUG

Canon got promo(PowerShot and Ixus series)
S200 advantage over PowerShot 650 is slimer and got another function which is similar as the IS fucntion, but not advance as IS i think. For Canon and Nikon, i dont worry about the screen, since they have good reputaion. Just tht, finding a 6-7MP dc with IS function in RM800+ price range is almost impossible. QUOTE(yehlai @ Aug 13 2007, 01:33 PM) Canon got promo(PowerShot and Ixus series) if size doesn't matter, u can go for Canon 570IS, which can get around RM880. Or else u can go for Lumix FX-10, which features MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer). Both FX-10 and S200 using Lithium Batt, PowerShot series using AA Batt.S200 advantage over PowerShot 650 is slimer and got another function which is similar as the IS fucntion, but not advance as IS i think. Did i change ur mind ? I also think tht for entry lvl consumer dc, Canon got better value for money. IIRC Nikon dc with IS function cost >RM1000.. thts not cheap. Canon offer 4X opt zoom and A560 looks far better than L11 and L12. This post has been edited by yehlai: Aug 16 2007, 12:48 PM |

I saw from newspaper A550 is around RM599 only wo.. but only bundle with 1GB SD + camera pocket. Another model from FujiFilm is quite tempting!! 8MP with Image Stabilizer!! selling RM666 only!! buy i dunno too much about its capture speed. Update with u as well later Edit:A560 is arnd RM760 IIRC, maybe u r refering to A560? Added on August 18, 2007, 10:46 pmHey in back. Canon now hv promo until 31 August, A550 selling for RM599 (no SD card) and A560 selling RM799, A570IS for RM999 U can get it at: KLCC - Lot329 lvl3 Mid Valley - Lot S-051, 2nd flr But i doubt this is the lowest Canon could offer, becoz Prescott told us 570IS is selling for RM880 only Another good dc i saw is FujiFilm FinePix A820! with unbeatable price RM666 only. This baby offer 8.3MP, 4X opt zoom Not sure about the capture speed, guess u need to test it out urself Finally, i read from one review tht claims tht Canon entry lvl series dc is not so durable. Im not sure how tru it is, but just like to share with u http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/content/C.../Conclusion.htm This post has been edited by yehlai: Aug 19 2007, 12:17 PM |

i've been to lowyat doin survey, got a pretty good offer from "DESA HOME THEATRE SDN.BHD.", RM599(Canon Powershoot A550, Tripod, Casing, Charger with AA Battery----China brand), the rest quoted same price but without charger and battery, is tat the lowest i can get around tat area? any cheaper pls pls pls inform...............yehlai, have u bought ur dc? can go try ur luck there..........
when holding the two, Canon feel comfortable, easy to hold, but a little bit clumsy, Casio screen wider but Canon picture clearer, Canon more user friendly in terms of switching function, very easy to jump from each button to another without really looking for the button, CASIO button is like hiding somewhere else, quite confusing........ |

I quote my TZ-3 RM100 lower than other place If can then put 'IS' into consideration, it helps a lot when u doing zoom snap. Good luck |
