but 2k for a scanner is not DIY territory already. it is quite big percentage of your car. doubt can recoup the investment

partially agree, because the money spent on your hobby could be used more wisely to get a better ride, no need for such trouble,

but anyway, hobby is something that one pays for the interest and satisfaction in return, if someone can make use of his hobby as business, that will be the best.
