aww... i am sure digi will respond if they see a lot of churn rates from their users to Hotlink.

I think postpaid market is rather saturated at the moment, with more customers prefer to use prepaid in this economic downturn (with people losing jobs, companies closing down).

It does not surprise me that Maxis became aggressive to re-promote their prepaid plan to fight the prepaid market.

that is correct according to my own experiment.

Why don't you try setup your phone as hotspot and use other phone to connect to it , and let us know if you get the same results?

Digi works well for me. A fair balance between quality and value. They have a cheap unlimited calls plan at RM28, comes with 4GB of data.

you can try hotlink unlimited RM35 /month for 3mbps or RM45 /month for 6mbps, and subscribe to add-on unlimited hotspot plan @ Rm10/ week.

I haven't tried it yet but it looks like doable for hotlink. total cost per month would be about RM75-Rm85/month with hotlink.

Hotspot is allowed for the RM10 / week add-on.

I have not tested it, but I assume the hotspot allowable extends to usage beyond the 5GB, at 3mbps.

simple solution is to cap and define the limit of unlimited , so whatever modem people use makes no difference when the quota is reached.

Maxis is doing it with 50Gb, seriously 50GB is enough for a normal single person use per month.
